Terrifying footage has captured the moment a massive crane suddenly tipped over while lifting a heavy steel structure before plummeting onto a busy road in Wuhan.Two people were injured and rushed to hospital after the collapsed machine slammed onto two cars parked by the road, according to local officials today.
A female passenger can be seen in the video being trapped in a destroyed vehicle that was struck by the bulky load.

The incident took place at 9:30am local time Tuesday on the construction site of Wuhan Yangtze Centre, a commercial complex project that started just over two months ago.
The two injured residents are said to be in stable condition and being treated in hospital, according to local construction authorities.
A small building on the other side of the road was also severely damaged.
The officials said that the accident occurred when the crawler crane was lifting a steel cage, a type of construction commonly used for high buildings.
The cause of the incident remains unclear.

An on-site worker can be heard replying: '[We] have to wait for the firefighters to come.'
Officials have activated emergency response and are dealing with the incident.
