PESHAWAR: Jamat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawwar Hasan Monday said that the federal government should wholeheartedly accept the Taliban’s offer for peace negotiations, Geo News reported.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of an Eid Milan programme here, the JI chief Munawwar Hasan said that the government was trying to hide state terrorism and he urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to fulfill his promises.

He further said that the presence of US army in Afghanistan was the root cause of all evil and terrorism could not be eliminated without rectifying policies.

He claimed that GST and power tariff were increased on the dictation of IMF.
