B1 and B2 have the same radar And carry the same missiles so there’s no difference In capability In this regard. The upgrades they have received (from what I know) are related to extra fuel, wing strengthening for extra payload, extra oxygen for longer endurance, maybe airframe upgrades to add more composites as in block 2 (If we are to go off the pictures and the notion that the green materials highlight composites). I believe there would also be upgrades on the software side to bring it closer to block 2, there might be more that I don’t know of. They are also receiving general airframe and engine overhauls.

After the first order the total number of Block 3 level aircraft should be around 50-55, while total thunders will be around 164-170 but it is expected that there will be another order after that as there is still work going on for future models of JF.
Does the B model have more oxygen storage compared to A? And what's the wisdom in not having OBOGs in B model? Considering there are rumours of it being able to command drones via data-link.

Block 2 already had considerably more oxygen storage than block 1 (almost doubled). However I’ve not heard of a further increase in B or block 3.
OBOGS is likely not present due to cost and weight constraints, however with nearly 6 hours of oxygen they should have enough, Even with IFR they’d be running out of fuel first in that case.

Doubling of oxygen storage in B model would still mean that it faces exactly the same conundrum as the Block-I, because there are two people sitting in B model.

True. The oxygen is increased in block 2A. I’m unsure how much Block 2B has, I would assume another pilot means more oxygen. But I can’t be sure without a source.

Just curious why was the vertical tail fuel tank not added to single seater to get additional 250 liters thus increasing internal capacity ??

Some sort of flight envelop penalty maybe? The various programs done at PAC imply it was done under necessity in the B version

Pac jf-17 we’re seen with a better second seat ladder 🪜 not sure why they are using the same as front seat one ☝
Because they can step onto the Wing roots. After all, they are only doing some sort of maintenance / inspection.

So BOL news defence day documentary (with stupid presenter) revealed that the last Thunder B us 620.
The Thunder B numbering started from 601 and last is 620.
So PAF got 20 in Total. One crashed. 19 flying as of today. Well 17, as one is being upgraded and one is yet to be delivered.
But the final tally is 20x minus 9ne crashed.

Just because 2P-80B is the last one being completed doesn't mean 2P-81B to 2P-86B haven't already completed. There may have been some delay with the parts for 2P-80B, hence the delay with it.
