What is this moron saying :sniper:

come on dear , just focus on avionics, jf-17 has way better avionics than those of that time and dear we have f-16-block 15 and 20 .... and jf-17 proved to be better than them during exercises ... so come with some real logic

I dont understand that why didnt they use composites. At least that could have reduced its RCS somewhat.

upcoming batches will have composite materials ,
and jf-17 has very decent RCS , price is main issue for us can't affort costly jet with composite materials ...

What the project director says is valid, as other end of the spectrum of 4th gen fighters include SU30's, Rafale, EFT's, F/A 18 SH, etc.

no blogs and again indian blogs about jft plzzz

Too many morons debating without really understanding why Pakistan and China developed JF-17 to meet Pakistan's defence needs within its budget constraints. So for the zillionth time, JF-17 is not meant to compete with F-22 Raptor. A block 2 JF-17 costs 25 to 30 Million USD compared with close to 500 Million USD per F-22 Raptor. They are not in the same class or belong to same generation.

Pakistan Air Force wanted a fighter which would form the backbone of PAF and plans on producing nearly 250 of Block 2 and block 3 of JF-17 which will be 4th++ generation fighter ( Air Commodore Khalid was talking about Block one as he was quoted in the article last year, but keep in mind that the even the 50 odd block one will be upgraded to block 2 soon).

PAF plans on supplementing these JF-17 Block 2 and 3 with existing F-16 C and D ( Block 52 ), few Squadrons of J-10B and few Squadrons of J-11 or J-31. Meanwhile F-7 and Mirage III/V will be phased out over next few years as they are replaced by these JF-17 Block 2/3.

This strategy works well within the constraints of our Budget and it will be enough to hold back IAF in a defensive posture.

trollers are gonna troll...........................:pakistan:

The generation of the aircraft mostly depends on Avionics suite, Radar and electronic counter measures. This is the area Pakistan has to improve, which Chinese lack.
