One of the Least talked about secrets about Japan is they have a forest below Mount Fuji , which is notoriously known as a hot spot for Suicide , it is stated it is extremely quite in this forest and the combination of quite atmosphere and mysterious surrounding pushes people to make it their final resting place.

Legend has it if you walk thru you would see countess , Ribbons , bags or shoes belonging to previous people who have left for other worlds the Ribbbons are little ropes that lead to people's bodies in case they wished to be discovered by officials , you might even run across a abondoned tent with actual body

.
Some dumb arses actually go there in night to discover if the stuff is for real
It is said there are general lack of wildlife in forest and also it is super quiet even birds don't venture and sing inside , the combinatin of a SUPER quiet environment , forest and backdrop of Mount Fuji tends to really mess with people's mind after staying there for breif time

I think East Asians, especially the Japanese have a higher rate of suicide then others. Quite sad really. You only have one life. You might as well make the most of it.

Based on data that is a false assumption. East Asians as a population doesn't have substantially high suicide rates, South Korea (10th highest) might and Japan (26th). Japan over the years had been sliding down the list of suicide rates. China (115th) on the other hand where 85% of East Asians live have low suicide rates. Vietnam is also low at 126th.

India (24th) has a higher suicide rate than Japan and Sri Lanka has the highest suicide rate in the world. South Asia has a higher suicide rates than others. Pakistan (177th) and Bangladesh (135th) are the exception. Post soviet states also have high suicide rates, Russia (17th), Kazakstan (4th), Ukraine (21st), Lithuania (8th).

I think you can mainly narrow it down to Japan and South Korea. Both countries have huge pressure during work and other aspects of family lives. Just look at how many hours South Koreans work annually ...
