The Type 38 rifle Arisaka (三八式歩兵銃 san-hachi-shiki hoheijū) was a bolt action rifle that supplemented the Type 99 Japanese standard infantry rifle during the Second World War. It served the Imperial Japanese Army from 1906 (the 38th year of the Meiji Period, hence "Type 38") through the end of 1945.

I have to admit, that is one beautiful firearm.

How much would it even cost to buy one though? :P

@Chinese-Dragon

I also like the Hanyang Type 88, it was the standard rifle of the National Revolutionary Army of China.

How so? :what: It served both KMT soldiers and PLA men well but I am surprised you like that relatively crude firearm. I for one like the Chinese Mausers more.

It had a basic and efficient design. Can you post more about Chinese Mausers?
