Art is the best indicator of the intellectual health of a nation. The best art comes from Japan these days (arguably) therefore they are the healthiest nation.

That is very significant, and Japan's art is some of the best in the world - especially their animation and music, but I would say that they found time to have fun and laugh is equally important. Like South Korea, Japan is known as a nation that likes to work... a lot. Seeing soldiers get their "fun" on is a great indicator of the health of the Japanese nation.

I mean, it was their job to move the snow, they did, just into cool shapes and structures.

Rigour is the quality of a genius. Japan having rigour ingrained in their national fabric, says a lot about them.
