I think China will Not attend any internation courts with Japan, or vietnam or philipine.
china don't want to lose rather than using force.

Is Japan going to risk losing the islands though? What if the court rules against Japan, is Japan gonna accept the ruling?

See, this is why China doesn't want to abide by the court. What if the court ruled against Philippines, is the Philippines gonna stop what they're doing?

I don't think , conservatively, that Japan will bring a case against China via the ICJ. The Senkakus will be solved bilaterally. In regards to China, Japan usually finds a solution with her (China) through the bilateral intergovernmental channels. It takes time, sure, but the Chinese are malleable.

They are not beyond the confines of compromise.

If Japanese do that, that mean they admit that Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands are disputed area, which they don't want.
Next topic please... :coffee:

I agree with you. Perhaps one of the few times that i will. :)

:chilli: This is the reality, and Chinese leaders knew these.
Same applied to the Island occupied by Korea, which Japan also claim. Korea also don't admit it is disputed.

It will be kept, as a source for 'nationalistic' purposes. Definitely.

Its unfortunate, but politics necessitates its pertinence.

The same way as how the Simbalan issue drives nationalistic leverage for both the Indonesians and your own fellow brethren.

We usually can use this type of event to judge how good and capable the leadership from those countries. We as normal citizens usually make fun of our leaders and others if they do something we considered dumb
Not saying Malaysia is very mature in handling international relation, but they are really busy with internet politic :sniper:
