Jamaat office set afire in Narsingdi
Narsingdi: A local office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was set on fire by some unidentified miscreants at Brahmandi in the town on Thursday night.
Locals said some unidentified miscreants set fire to the Jamaat office located at Brahmandi by pouring petrol at about 10:30 pm.
Being informed, fire fighters rushed in and extinguished the blaze after two hours of frantic efforts.
District Jamaat Ameer AFM Abdus Sattar said that activists of the ruling Awami League might have done the act.
Sheikh Abdul Malek, secretary of district Jamaat, demanded immediate arrest of the arsonists.
Contacted, district BNP president Khairul Kabir Khokon condemned the incident. UNB
