Sounds as though the PAF will persist with a lightweight platform for the future.

Certainly a different course than other FGF programs, but a concerted effort to control costs and maximize deployment flexibility (e.g. high numbers, use new concepts such as optionally manned, etc).

If its twin engined, it will be about the size of a Super Hornet. Optionally manned wouldn't probably be part of the picture but perhaps a drone that acts as the hunting dogs to the horsemen.
