What's new

It's official: Apple will make iPhones in India at Bengaluru facility

. .
As far as I know there were two offers to construct FABs, one in gujrat and the other in noida

they were supposed to secure seed money for these fabs but they haven't and one of the constronium has given up.

Can you please give me any link to support your claims.

regards
Noida one's consortium has given up meanwhile Prantij is still going on.

I would take it half way, no OEM will ever give us 20nm tech. We will ourselves have to make and all I know that we have only been designing 20-30nm chips, not making them.

If talking of applying our own technologies, we can have 45-90nm at best. Not enough for smartphones and laptops but we can at least hold a grip on low end electronics.

@Bad Guy are you "indx Techstyle" at I D F
Off course,
not only there but on every forum PDF, SDF, D.F.I., IDF & AMF also. Here, on PDF even but I use that account for occasional purpose only.
Banned for two months. @Indx-techs
Bad thing otherwise I could make great coverage.

I will re activate this account around Indx in December and will de activate Bad Guy in December.:D
Thank you.

I think we won't have a commercial fab until at least next decade because then we will have a nurtured ecosystem and demand to justify these major investments

till then we should try to ladder up in the value chain
