For those of you who are interested in football, it is time for the most anticipated match in international club football. The Spanish league that boasts Real Madrid, the most successful clubs in the history of football also named best club of the 20th century, and Barcelona, holds one of the most fiercely contested matches of world football, “El Derby” or “El Classico”. This particular episode could not have come at a better time as the race for the la liga title, which has lately become only a two horse race, is wide open with both Real Madrid and Barcelona are tied at 77 points after playing 30 matches each. With the first leg of the tie in Barcelona going 1-0 to the hosts courtesy of an offside goal by Ibrahimovic and only 8 matches remaining to play, this match may as well prove to be the title decider.

Real will surely win.......InshaAllah. We need to put those cules in their place.

Viva Real Madrid!!!!!:yahoo::yahoo:

.
This will be one of the closest el clasico ever ... Madrid have some score to settle and they will come out victor i think ....

The match is tonight at 3 AM Pakistan time. Barca have Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Abidal missing while Real will be without the talismatic midfielder Kaka. Lets hope for a classical El Classico and let the better team (Ofcourse Real Madrid :D) win.

Siempre Madrid!!!!!!!!!!

Keeping in mind the demolition of Arsenal at Camp Nou last week as well as what happened at the Bernabeu last yr, this Barca side is the best in the world and Messi the best EVER. Real, and specially Ronaldo, have a lot to prove in this match.

Real Madrid have been more consistant off late in the liga, but I think barca can produce magic when they want to.

Barcelona all the way!!!!

Barcelona 4 the win!!!:mps:

I hope messi will destroy the real defense like he did to arsenals on tuesday!!! No zlatan, no worries, henry, bojan, pedro = good replacements :agree:

Remember also this game could be decisive in who goes on to win La Liga. both are currently tied on 77 points. A defeat would give a 3 points margin lead as well as gaining an advantage in the goal difference. Currently Reals GD is 57 and Barcas is 56. Maybe a 6:2 thumping like last year could change alot ;)

Actually was Pedro who scored the 2nd one. Great win for Barca and yet again it is proven that money doesnt buy you success. Hope the real board learn something from this and invest in the long run. Ronaldo looked completly hopeless yesterday. No support from the midfielders whislt Messi got superb backing from Xavi and Iniesta as usual!

As for Pellagrini. Agreed, bye bye:wave:
No way the Real board will let him stay now.

money cant buy success but if Madrid spent 250 million euros, why cant board try and get good Manager Like Mourinho ,any way title race is over.

Actually Pellagrini is an extremly able coach. He continuously led Villareal, his former rather unknown spanish club to 3,4 successive seasons in the champions league and also led them to a 2nd place in La Liga in 2007-08. That is an extremly impressive task considering this is a club which just got promoted to La Liga in 98 and has a stadium capacity of 23000. Compare that with the 80, 90 000 of real and Barca. WIth limited funds he transformed Villareal to a leading spanish club.

As for Mourinho no doubt hes a good coach but i would definatly rate Pellagrini higher than him. The current Inter team he is leading is more or less the exact same team he inherited when he came to the club last season with the exception of Ibrahimovic.

Quite frankly, i am GUTTED!!! and extremely disappointed. I expected a better fight from Madrid. I have made a few observations regarding the match,

1. Our defense was concentrating too much on Messi but forgot that they had arguably the best passer on the field who they chose to not man mark, Xavi.

2. We had only two pure attackers in Ronaldo and Higuain and out of them the former was trying too hard playing individually and the later was invisible. Marcelo is by no means a pure winger and Van der Vaart is not anywhere near Kaka's quality even in current form.

3. The missed chance by VDV may have cost us a draw.

While Pellegrini is a very good coach and granted he took Villareal to places, there is a difference between managing a small club where meeting and exceeding expectations is not very difficult and managing Real Madrid where the media, the fans and the board is constantly on your back and even one slip up can cost a coach his job. There is also the matter of managing huge ego's of the Galacticos. Pellegrini has had his chance and he hasn't been able to instill the winning mentality in the team. We have chocked against Milan Twice, Lyon Twice, Barca Twice, Seville once and the most humiliating Alcorcon. I am surprised Pellegrini has made it this far. An excellent coach does not need time to start winning and the best example is when Capello took over Real hadn't won a trophy in four years. The team he inherited was far inferior to this current one and still he managed to overturn a deficit of 12 points and won the league. His famous theory of 12 finals says a lot about his philosophy. Why he was fired, only god knows but we need someone like him here and currently the only one we can get is Mourinho. I don't care if we play boring football, i don't care if we win majority of our games 1-0, at the end of the day what matters is how many trophies you have won. I want us to beat Barca at Camp Nou, i want us to progress beyond the first knock out round and i don't think Pellegrini is the man who will be able to do it.
