Wont that affect your military relations with United states, Pakistan does receive lion's share through Foreign Military Assistance, Excess Defense Articles and Coalition Support Fund. Would pakistani brass be willing to sacrifice AIM 9x, AIM sidewinders, Spares for Blk52's, Cobra upgrades, arty hardware, ground radars, naval equipment etc. for selling a few aircraft's to Iran.

No, thats why PAF won't sell to Iran. If Iran wants military hardware, they can approach China or Russia directly. We are in no position to challenge a super power.

not possible even if we sold these jets to iran the outcome of releation is not good
the same restriction will apply on us and economy will be destroyed ...i know our economy is on last leg but going slowly full of crupption but after restriction pakistan could go back 5 years in the economy or tech
if pakistan really want to make independent decision then should build a strong economy thats all .....pakistan can't sell arms to iran

Another faucet of china exporting FC1 to a predominantly russian market is; it will take on Mig 29 head on. Will russia let FC1 flying with russian engine take on it's fulcrum, that serves as the entry level platform in the 4.5th gen air superiority market.

Any deal with Iran would be interesting, isn't there sanction on weapon sale to Iran?
What I see is that their war doctrine has too much dependence on their missile program. It gives them a good wild card to play against USA and Israel, which are way better than Iran in conventional weapons.

Your earstwhile leader does nt go to the toilet without 3 people from the security in his own palace, do you think they have the guts to take on USA. This is the crux of the matter.Even China backed out of selling them J10s. the other thing to note is you sell them fighters, they use them against US and without training 10 of their planes go down. What will they say? echoed by the Indians on the forum. SEE JFT IS NO GOOD!!! It is not just the plane you also need trainingand if you want to train the Iranians, you are ready to face the wrath of the US.
What can happen is sale of JFT/FC1 from China to Iran., However there are certain problems which are not clear to us at the moment.

Sir, a trade with Iran is not only risky politically but also financially. For those posters who don't know much about how payments are settled in international trade, Iran's dollar clearing is completely banned means you CAN NOT make any direct transaction with Iran in US Dollar directly or indirectly. As soon as trade is traced by systems, the settlement would be frozen. You cant do the same in Euro and GBP as well since Europe has also put financial sanctions in place. The only option to make such a trade financially viable would be to to transact in a third currency where Iran is not at risk of loss (say Rubble) or barter but Pakistan would not like to make a transaction in a minnow or a less liquid currency. A hint would be that while China or Russia were in a far stronger political position than Pakistan, they couldn't get their deals through with Iran.

That is why Pakistan should wait it out and see what happens between Iran/ US, Israel. Once the dust settles perhaps the sanctions will be eased either on the current regime or if a new one replaces them and than Pakistan can sell some fighters to them. If they are willing to buy of course.

150 FC1/THUNDERS TO IRAN for $8 billion

Firstly Iran does not have $ 8 billion to spend on one fighter

Secondly if they did I THINK the red hot favourite will be RUSSIANS with their SU30 FLANKERS (FOR $8 BILLION IRAN can buy over 100 FLANKERS)

Russia is irans main weapons supplier.

Iran has $8B, they are heavily investing in Missiles-Navy development.

Flankers are not favorite after what russians did to iran regarding S-300 fiasco iran is not interested, update yourself iran is under sanctions no weapons from any country.
