Israeli sources: Iran missile strike a ‘flop,’ with most missing target

So Iran is hitting ISIS hard inside Syria and Zion Jews sitting in Tel Aviv are feeling the heat ? coincidence or real backers of ISIS are crying because their schemes failed ?

Jews are getting their panties in a twist because they are losing their grip over almost entire region. Iran is no stupid sheikhdom that can be tamed by jew run USA. Its a very cunning entity which can beat jews at their own games of deception, back stabbing, political maneuvering and what not. Jews will lie, they will carry out vicious propaganda and whatever is possible against Iran to keep ISIS alive in ME.

and LOL on Pakistanis in this thread citing Israeli sources on efficiency of Iranian Missile strikes. Its like citing Indian sources to see credibility of Pakistani Missile tests. I checked them they were calling pakistani missile tests as photoshopped/doctored fake videos ...... Lesson ....... hostile country's media always try to bring your achievements down no matter what. Propaganda is a warfare tactics and who could be better in making media noises then Jewish brethren itself which invented it.

.
So what is really Iran paying for in syria? what are its targets and goals in that land??

.
You know what, We should use one of these missiles on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjahu, then the can check out the accuracy personally.
That has to be one of the best ideas I`ve heard in this thread and I think it would definitely silence the naysayers:yahoo:

.
This is what we can see from the videos Iranian media published.

There are three videos that show "impact". This is the one that hit the target (Or at least, close enough to destroy it).

There is one that hit the ground near the target:

i1.jpg

The target was about 12 meters further.

But it seems that this particular target was attacked at least one more time. This is from the third impact video that was published.
i1.jpg

Filmed from the other side of the area, You can see the fire from the previous impact. I don't know whether that isolated fire in the left part of the picture is another missile impact, or simply the patch of foliage catching fire (from burning debris of the previous impact? Although those trees should be bone dry to catch fire this quickly.)
olyd_002.jpg

Then, there is a video that shows the aftermath of the attack on this area.

i1.jpg

and while filming it, the operator switches to IR camera (I took the screenshot a little later after they moved the camera a bit)

i1.jpg

And switches back to normal camera.

i1.jpg

Now, whether that other fire is because of another missile impact or not can't be understood at the moment.
Also, judging by the "battery signs" at the top right of the screen, there are at least 3 drones filming the event.

If that other fire is caused by another impact (As opposed to burning debris), it would mean that two missile impacts where not shown here. Some claim that there were two Qiam missiles used in this attack. I don't think that it is true. IRGC officially only claimed to have used Zolfaghar missiles, only showed Zolfaghar missiles in the clip depicting the process of getting launchers ready for the attack, and it wouldn't make much sense to use a missile that has a much larger CEP and no way to change course after it's fuel is spent to attack relatively small structures in a city. Now, what happened to those missiles that their impact is not shown?

There are three possibilities:
1:They hit their targets but for whatever reason, Iran hasn't shown the impact videos (there were not enough drones ready to film it or they didn't simply feel the need to show more footage)
2:They hit so far from their targets so that there is no chance for damage against the target. (If they used Qiams, this is the most likely thing to happen to them)
3:The missiles could have failed to reach the target at all.

Now, experts usually believed that newer Fateh missiles could at most have a CEP of 10 meters (And that would be using civillian GPS/GLONASS for mid-course corrections). What we see here is compatible with that belief (As opposed to the pinpoint accuracy usually claimed by Iran). Now, generally missiles with this range of CEP try to alleviate this by having a warhead with a blast radius large enough to destroy targets within the circle. But Zolfaghar is an extended range version of Fateh, probably sacrificing warhead weight in exchange for a bit of range.

Now, Israelis have said a lot of things regarding this attack. From the attack being done by three Shahab-3 missiles, to the missiles being launched from inside Iraq, not Iran, and now that the attack was a failure. Each time, they cited their "Intelligent Agencies" as the source of their remarks. Based on their behavior, I think they actually saw these clips and reported their analysis as "facts gathered by the intelligent agencies". Add to that the typical Israeli attitude towards Iran and you have stories about "failed missiles dropping along the way in Iraq".

Is their not a 4th possibliity? Presstv claims that 3 towns were attacked. the other 2 missiles could've been used towards the other two towns as 4 were shown here in one town.

The first possibility is generic enough to account for this scenario.

My purpose in life doesn't have anything to do with Iran, nor I care for it so why should I make it a wallpaper.
Unlike some Iranians, I don't burn flags and call for destruction of other countries for fun.
Very well said... It's so sad that whatever PressTV says is taken as gospel by IRI trolls and objective observations and skepticism is derided and mocked. Why would anyone believe PressTV, an outlet which is know for mis-information and exaggeration?! IRI supporters just can't stand any examination of facts and call it a success, while calling everyone else liars. IRI may very well have achieved both its military and political objectives but the reaction of IRI supporters is just sad.

Next time iran should fire it,s missile to below 3 target for it,s acuracy....................:pop:

Instead you take whatever the Jerusalem Post as gospel. Much better, right?

IRGC latest statements:
more than 170 terrorists have been killed in the attacks.

misinformation from PressTV?! probably it's too much to ask for one example.

and if not believing the IRGC then believe whom? mother of liars, the Zionists?!

Now that we are at it, people at twitter have observed that based on the markings on the screen, the drones filming these impacts are Shahed-129s. If true, it could mean that Shahed-129's production is well underway.

It's refreshing to read a constructed pcs of that matter...without jumping like some "others" on the illuminatis conspiracy about those strikes. and follow by some with insults when a different opinion is given on the subject with respect...
As for the Israeli parts...most of them are news outlet...who has no prior knowledge... it's the same behavior for outlets in the other side too... too much propamouth kill THE "News"

.
"Israeli Sources"? Israel can't and won't offer any evidence for this ridiculous claim. Fateh-based ballistic missiles have proved their capabilities for a good number of times in tests, Iran won't fire something in a rare event like this if it knows there is a high chance of failure.

Wheres the evidence to prove other wise?

All we had was 4 strikes shown on drone footage. Israel just has speculation (And saving face for some reason). It is important to note that those Zulfaghar missiles have 650-700 kg high explosive (special Iranian formula, allowing greater explosive force). If the missile (which flew nearly 700 km missed it targets by 10-20 meters the destructive force alone from the explosion creating a substantial crater would and have done the rest of the job).

Lets think about this comparatively. When the Russians tested out their salvo of Kaliber cruise missiles against ISIS targets in Syria flying over Iranian-Iraqi-Syrian air space. Some of them malfunctioned and crashed in Iran. These were new missiles mind. So even if 1 or 2 (completely Iranian made missiles) hit or they all hit and just missed the target by 10-20 meters, or some of them didn't hit. This is a major success no matter how you cut it.

US is already shifting their war strategy around due to how accurate these missiles are, and you can bet Iran is already recalibrating the missiles to be even more accurate based on the strike data they recorded during the operation.

This is a win-win for Iran, its as simple as that. No face-saving needed.

"The sweetest success is built on top the greatest of failures"

I am not advocating believing one source over another. I also would like to know how well IRI's missiles performed. As of right now we have 2 sources: IRIGC/PressTV and Israeli MOD/press, with diametrically opposing conclusions. I have no access to objective post-operation analysis and won't believe anyone on this thread, specially Iranians who behave as though questioning IRI's claims is a direct insult to them. My position is that if the missiles performed poorly, then IRI's claims of missile prowess is just another smoke and mirrors, and a sad day for Iranians who have spent so much blood and treasure to get nothing in return, and have been lied to by their military leaders. If on the other hand the missiles performed greatly then that's the testament to IRI's engineering achievement. But until then, I remain skeptical, regardless of what some bunch or IRI's stooges say on this thread.
