It was no formal province but personal property of emperor. No senator was allowed going there without emperors agreement. 8)

Nah little boy... the ROman empire system... was already surpassed by one of the oldest and most advanced civilisation ... the antic Egypt... So pls keep your "greatness in your pants"... And to be fair... Roman empire conquered empty or weak land at her time... when she had to face strong enemies she failed... whaetever it's against persians... or Egyptian at that time and later on Arabs in ME... even the Barbars of north Europe was a problem for romans... thanks to alliance/marriage that they won the civil peace in the EMpire... even the low tech Gaulus with Clovis got you hard... Even the small carthage put ROME on their knees at some point...thanks to Scipio that Rome won... ( later on Rome betrayed him and throw him away... at least he get what he deserve... stabbing in the back...)

Caanan and Asyria... were around the block hundreds of year bf Rome even existed...

Come on bro, no need for that. The Roman empire was great, Carthage was great, Ancient Egypt was great, Ancient Assyria and Babylon used to be great. All of our ancestors whether you are Italian,Tunisian, or Egyptian did great things. Can't we celebrate that together? As friends?

if you couldn't see the irony and littleness of his comment whatever it's about Cannaan and egypt as being labeled as mere Colonies... then I can't argue with you about that.

Yes, my country had its empires as did all countries. We had our ups and our downs and unfortunately when we were a client state of Rome we were in a dark place and certainly were not at our best.

that wasn't based on facts... he based his comments on irony/littleness... like if someone tell you... that he doesn't hate Arabs/Muslims... bc he love camels... or he dosn't hate mexicans bc he love tacos...Hope you understand the meaning...
