as for the other things you listed, I don't think the Israelis are trying to develop ship building or engine manufacturing. it doesn't make sense for them, there is a cost associated with building something they have access to already, and would only create a parallel system at best. the Israeli development strategy is built more around developing subsystems and weaponry for those platforms and sensors, that get added to an empty platform. it doesn't make sense for them to build ships, but to build the radars and missiles for the ships. same with helicopters, it doesn't make sense to develop the shell or the engine, but the subsystems and weapons. Same with Air platforms.

even The US gave technology to İsrael to develop most of İsraeli weapons including Air Defense Systems
