5G is a concept of seamless connection to user, from an engineering and user viewpoint. How lovely.
The main concept is: you will not lose connection to network, while moving through different networks. For Example a call initiated on Wifi, will be continued on a GSM network, and from GSM it will continue in PSTN etc.... seamless "connection".
Now, for doing this, connections needs to be established on lower layers of communication protocol stack up(e.g. see the OSI reference modal). From an engineering view point, lower you go, more physical you become(less software), or in other words, 5G technology will give a boast to chip technology, and will take it to a whole new heights.
Now, lets look at it from another perspective.
This concept will bring espionage to another heights as well. Cut the long story short, I am afraid that every human being, or at least the majority of them, will be forced to get a chip implanted somewhere in their bodies(most probably necks or heads).
The very same thing will be used to control world population, and may be, the very same thing will be a cause of death of majority of human beings, while some sort of bug hits the network.
Beware of that time, my fellow humans.
I am not against development, but the technology that has pushed honey bees and migratory birds to near extinction, and is pushing humans towards having more and more miserable lives, must be stopped now. And the fun thing is: Universities are contributing to it.

If you want to understand technology any book will be same(with difference of what part the author wants to emphasize). Research papers might also help.
But if you want to see things from the view point I mentioned, you need to join "the company" of those, who are knowledgeable and are not yet converted into Zombies.
That's why I am not quoting any single book here.

5G is already used in home appliances that's 5 ghz as opposed to the old 2.4ghz

5G mobile is essentially fiber optics connected bts sites , that transmit , 5 ghz to mobile phones . that's why it's gonna be costly , impractical and doesn't cover everywhere . essentially worse than 4.5 plus

israel uses their lobby power to introduce rebranded ideas and use em to get even more power for their political lobby .
