Isolation awaits India if Mods downgrades or boycotts BRICS summit

We have a lot more in common with China - continent, size of population, aspirations, ancient civilization, emphasis on family values & education, Eastern religion, impact on environment, energy importers. Of course we have our differences.

So we do it seems. But I take major exception to one alleged commonality. Our aspiration is to become a developed country. Your aspiration is to become a hegemonic superpower.

China left it's value and civilization around 20 years back. They are more Western than you think. Much more Western than India.

Hardly. For one, Western English-language media penetrates India, but not China. For another, many Indians have ancestry deriving from ancient Aryans, who belong to the same Indo-European family as ancient Europeans. Chinese don't.

China aspires to westernisation as well as modernisation.
India aspires to modernization.
Socially , modest clothing was a part of both countries , but take a round of china and all you see are very short skirts and shorts.
Short clothes is a western import.
I found zero chinese clothing worn by chinese ppl in china.
In India , except for the teens or youngsters, local clothes are worn by all irrespective of income.

Save 100s of crores. Turn Rashtriapathi bhavan into a museum.

Or make it the official Prime Minister's Residence after abolishing the roles of President and VP.

Anyway in India, President is only a titular role.

BRICS has more than just China.

We have very warm relations with Brazil, South Africa and Russia.

Also, Thailand and Kenya, the guest countries this year are good friends of India.

All the more reasons to engage all the countries.

China is not an enemy - yet.

All doors of diplomacy and talks are open still and we can still resolve this easily.

If India continuous her policies and strategies, she will never be isolated, no matter what.

.
It looks like it will be China which will be isolated soon.
Imagine if India along with SCS countries decide to put a siege in Malacca straits. Game over for Chinese.
