You left out the part where she cheated on her husband with a non-Islamic man to whom she is now "married." (If I am mistaken on him not being Islamic then I will correct my post)

In the US competition with China, for influence in Muslim majority countries and African countries , the undercurrent of continued xenophobia propagated by the likes of Rep. Boebert is counterproductive, and not just dangerous to the Muslim population in the US and domestic politics.

This word "islamophobia" actually confused me. Why is it not "muslimophobia"? Shouldn't people be more scared of actual people than some abstract idea?

I suspect this term was created for propaganda purpose, not to describe the true nature of the phenomenon. It seems to be a rally call to unite all Muslims, since they all believe in Islam, against some other people's dislike of certain behaviors from certain Muslims.

Yes. There’s a difference between criticizing an idea and discriminating someone for supporting that idea.

There is no reason for Americans to be Islamophobic. I currently reside in USA. Muslims here have been extremely integrated into the society. It is rare for muslim women to wear burqa. Most muslim women wear headscarf with jeans and T shirt. Ilhan Omar, who is a hijab wearing muslim MP married Tim Mynett, who is a white christian.

Muslims who reside in UK, Germany and other parts of Europe are somewhat conservative, so islamiphobia in Europe is understandable.
