It's really disgusting how they have managed to coin the term "Islamist" as a pejorative and use it against anyone who doesnt share the same narrow minded western views.

"Islamist" "moderate" etc etc are just phrases used to create new categories of Muslims so they can dive and conquer once again. Remember, like how they did with India!
There is only one Islam and the followers are called Muslims, not Islamist or moderates.

Europe is being engulfed in "Christianist" parties who are really neo nazies.
Yet they are crapping their pants because democracy is finally working in Muslim countries and Muslims are actually taking power.

Indeed, I was surprised my self with Salafs winning that kind of support,
to be honest they did do a lot of hard work.

Egyptian elections shall be a case study for all existing and wanna be Islamists.
See how maturely the Ikhwan and Salafs took the situation and how nicely they won support from the masses.

truly i was making fun of the salafies they only showed up after mubarak and their presence was only on media ( alnaas ,khalijiah alrehma etc )

i didnot have any doubt about the maturity of Ikhwan , but i had some objections on salafies but still they proved they have some support and i think they have won on those seats which Ikhwant didnot contest as their stated policy
anyhow i wish them all good luck and i hope they make good decisions coz i 've been telling my egyptians friends they must succeed, coz all the other arab countries will follow u

I am more worried about egyptians. Is this why they wanted democracy? I have met a lot of them. and all they want is a normal democracy in which they can breathe freely. The dont want a theocratic state.
Egyptians are not exactly arabs, they are quite liberal in their outlook, quite capable of laughing at themselves, and enjoy their lives.

I have always had a strong conviction in the egyptians. More than any one else.

From Morocco to Indonesia, if there is one country with political sense it has to be egyptians.

and I think, egyptians will get us out of this mess or at least provide for the seeds required.
