Till couple of years back they were heralded as Syrian Freedom Fighters who got overt and covert support from west and some middle eastern states in form of weapons, supplies, training and money.Many of them were actually prisoners in Saudi Jails who were given a simple choice - Death or Jihad against Assad.

They learned their propaganda skills and military tactics from the best of the best - American Trainers!! which they then imparted to their new recruits amongst dissatisfied Iraqis.

Some people never learn. Taliban, Al Quaeda, ISIS you name it, each one of them had dirty paws of West and Arabs behind their birth.

Pakistan has learned this the hard way.
