ISIS threatens to topple Hamas in Gaza

The self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) insurgents threatened on Tuesday to take control of the Gaza Strip, accusing Hamas, the organisation that rules the Palestinian territory, of being insufficiently stringent about religious enforcement.

The video statement, issued from an ISIS stronghold in Syria, was a rare public challenge to Hamas, which has been cracking down on fighters in Gaza who oppose its truces with Israel and reconciliation with the U.S.-backed rival Palestinian faction Fatah.

"We will uproot the state of the Jews and you and Fatah, and all of the secularists are nothing and you will be over-run by our creeping multitudes," said a masked ISIS militant in the message addressed to the "tyrants of Hamas".

"We swear that what is happening in the Levant today, and in particular the Yarmouk camp, will happen in Gaza," he said, referring to ISIS advances in Syria, including in a Damascus district founded by Palestinian refugees.

ISIS has also taken over swathes of Iraq and has claimed attacks in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Yemen.

Hamas is a Palestinian resistance faction deemed a terrorist group by Israel, the United States and the European Union, and viewed by neighboring Arab power Egypt as a regional security threat. Hamas' struggle against ISIS-linked militants has not won sympathy abroad.

Israel's intelligence minister, Israel Katz, accused Hamas on Tuesday of partnering with ISIS affiliates in the Egyptian Sinai - a charge long denied by the Palestinian group.

"There is cooperation between them in the realm of weapons smuggling and terrorist attacks. The Egyptians know this, and the Saudis," Katz said in a Tel Aviv conference organised by the Israel Defense journal.

You're not informed in this matter. Hamas never had armed wing in beginning, it was a social movement. Similiar to Ikhwan model. They preached in mosques and organized social events. Israel tolerated that in beginning, it was very quick before they begin arresting them and cracking down on them. That doesn't equate to 'creating them'.And the founder of Hamas's social movement Ahmed Yassin was killed in Israeli drone strike. Just because you're Salafi doesn't mean you should hate Ikhwan and make up lies. Otherwise you aren't a Muslim by practice. Lying can be a lot more severe than other sins.

Im am not a salafi, i follow the Quran and the sunnah of the Prophet pbuh and the sunnah of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali (rahimahum Allah). Hamas isnt doing great, theyre barley scratching israel while getting their civilians butchered by the israelis. And nothing i said was a lie, it was simply based on the leaked Edward Snowden documents.

What are you confused about? Lies/Propaganda against fellow Muslims is sin just under Kufr. Your political opinion absolutely matters, because it reflects on your character. Abu Lahab had different politican opinion on Muhammad(SAW), and he spread nonsense against him, and is cursed in Quran. If you're basing your political opinion on your interests, then that means your character isn't based on Islam. I could remain supporting Iran/Assad one hundred percent since it suits my interests, but that would mean I'm selfish and don't follow Islam which ordaines to strive for justice and support just people.

He is one of those Salafi's who think it gives them good name to call themselves Salafi so they appear better than everyone else and they are against Ikhwan for no reason besides their personal selfishness and greed. Not all Salafi's are that way. They are split between good people who don't have agenda based on lies and people who have fixed agenda based on lies/falsities.

ISIS is looking stronger as they have access to bomb making techniques while hamas can only fire rockets as they have not much access to bombs and weaponry.
Let see who wins Jihad! But hamas plays behind kids and they will get international support as they are master of "how to play victim card", and U.N always falls in his trap.
