ISIS Destroying Iraq's Cultural Heritage One Site At a Time - Mecca Next !!

Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi killed a 100,000 Muslims like ISIS to clean up the garbage of Islam in Egypt and then Allah gave him 3 consecutive victories over the Crusaders. ISIS is the garbage of Islam if they are destroying holy places. They will be cleaned up as well.

Well said, just like in the movie "Kingdom of Heaven". When a muslim cavalier pleaded with Salahuddin to attack the Army of Jerusalem and questioned why the Sultan retreated, Salahuddin said, "How many battles has Allah won for the muslims? That is to say, when Allah determined...when I should come for the muslims..."

One of the reasons that China has a policy of "non-intervention" (apart from our lack of power projection), because when it comes to interventions, every choice seems to be the wrong one, and everyone ends up hating you anyway.

That was a very wise and profound decision for China, in my honest opinion. In cases where there are religious sensitivities, it is best to not intervene, until there is some kind of International Mandate of some sort.

I hope that Japan will follow in the same step as China to remain non-interventionalist. Only to defend in cases of attack. There has been massive toll in life and expenses in military for the United States' involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And to think about it, what did it do? Did it stabilize the region? I say...nay... :(

Exactly. And especially when it comes to Middle Eastern issues, e.g. the Israel/Palestine issue.

If you support Israel, half the world will hate you. If you support Palestine, the other half of the world will hate you.

It's a lose-lose situation, best to stay out of it completely, and just offer general humanitarian assistance when required. Only Israel/Palestine themselves can solve their situation. Likewise, it is up to the Iraqis and Syrians to reject extremists like ISIS, they are the only ones who can truly solve this problem.

Maybe it wasn't such a brilliant idea to go to war in Iraq and remove the regime that kept peace in the region and kept religious fanatics out of the country?

Look at the irony - USA invaded Iraq with one of the pretexts being that they had ties to al qaeida. Now Americans are asking everybody in the world to save Iraq from Al qaida affiliated groups, which never existed there before.

I was totally AGAINST the Iraq war. We NEEDED a kook like Sadaam to 'keep the peace'. A lot of wacky M.F.ers over there.

I like what one of the officials in the Reagan Administration said: "Saddam may be a bastard, but he is our bastard."

Saddam was obviously no saint, but I think most people would agree that ISIS and Al-Qaeda are worse. Maybe it takes a monster to prevent worse monsters from emerging.

Yes. Saddam was wrong in his use of chemical weapons and his invasion of Iran, and eventual invasion of Kuwait (biggest blunder of all). But in general, under his rule, Iraq was generally stable, and even powerful.

He DID try to kill Bush's Dad. If he tried to kill MY Dad, I would have whacked him out, too. Myself.:sniper:

Is Mecca shirk since they worship the kaaba? Can a muslim please explain to me properly as there is a lot of misconceptions around that.

Bro, why are you worried about it? the Islamists dont need a specific reason or event to kill themselves or others. By the spectacle that they make of their public killings - I would think they enjoy killings and beheadings and in general, blowing up things.

I dont get why America has to bother when the people who are in danger of getting affected do not bother and want the US to spend its money, sacrifice its soldiers lives - for what?

I'm not worried, and I don't want the US to spend any (more) money and soldiers there. I was only making the point that when the Saddam Husseing regime existed, these things did not happen in Iraq, and islamists could not find fertile grounds there.

Saddam was a tyrant - I still cant figure why the Bush's loved Iraq so much?.

Yes, Saddam was a tyrant - but that's the only kind of governance that has brought some peace in that region. Their society has not evolved to live peacefully under anything else. The country will probably cease to exist as a country soon enough.

It was a joke of a country before that anyways.

Saddam was Bhagdadi in drab - what with his fancy outfits and penchants.

Sunni Saddam's sunni Baathists form the bulk of ISIS, Saddam did what Baghdadi does under official legal sanction of a military dictator and under media sanctions.

Those people are used to that sh!t.
