Well, Jerusalem is a territory of Israel at present excepting the eastern part.

I don't know why would Israel destroy Jerusalem if Arab armies don't manage to penetrate to the city. In such a case, I think Israel would go for Samson option.

This is a question worth pondering since many Arab and Iranian leaders have openly stated that they wish the destruction of Israel. Many Arab states like Iraq, Syria, Libya and radical Shia states like Iran have or had active nuke programmes with this goal in mind. I wonder what kind of plan they have in mind for Jerusalem when they scheme for nuking Israel?
