Just look at the map again, Brahmaputra/Jamuna is the longest & the most important river of Bangladesh running through the entire length of the country carrying the largest source of water for Bangladesh, you guys are absolutely silent about the implications of Chinese projects on that river, but never spare a chance to complaint about the water flow in the far smaller and primarily a seasonal river like Teesta, talk about misplaced priorities.

Our NE states get some good amount of rain, they can manage with lesser water in Brahmaputra, but remember not to complaint to us when China starts diverting water from Brahmaputra and dries it up in Bangladesh.

india seems weak in action .. it seems but in reality they work back end well than front end - incursion in border ..
china also knows india is key player for both USA and Russia..and most imp all 3 national interest merger at many points..
so if india become mad elephant.. its difficult to dragon to stop it..
india knows chinese dragon have power and punch and can hit hard..

I would implore our Chinese Friends to stop all water coming into India just as they are doing to Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Let us pay them back in the same coin.....

The same as what Vajpayee ji did and a little more. Capture a few square miles beyond LOC before UN interfered. Even a single mile gained is enough to put psychological pressure on enemies not to attack ever again.

2. 26/11 when you catch kasab

Raise hue and cry in the international front while working at the back end: extract information, develop a special cell of intelligence only responsible to the PMO and start re-building intelligence network across Pakistan and into Afghanistan.
Consequentially, increase the number of similar 'non state actors' actions in the root cause country.

Impose trade sanctions ban entry of Pakistani nationals into India for any reasons at all, while simultaneously work on to pressure them using trade and economy by increasing parallel trade with countries like Burma and Thailand for the same products we buy from Pakistan.

Ban all port-related access and trade routes via Indian waters, making shipping costlier for them to east and southeast Asia.

Ban overflying flights of Pakistan-registered carriers from India, making their aviation a pain.

3. 5 soldiers murderd by pak

In continuation of rebuilding the network that Gujral stopped and his appeasing successors continued, increase assaults into Pakistani territory via Afghanistan to the extent that they are forced to pull troops to the northern border.

This is medium term but be assured, not me alone but any government with grapes will do this and much more.

We have confidence and trust on China, that China will not shut off or divert our fair share of water. But India has a track record of damming up common rivers and diverting them in lean season causing desertification and opening the flood gates in rainy season.

This entire catchment area North of Bangladesh has enough rain fall, but reservoirs can only be made upstream in mountain and hilly areas using dams. So this region needs a multi-national regional water management system to ensure proper flow and distribution to all stake holders. But India will always be the spoiler. They will come to the negotiating table only when they are forced to.

Current Indian strategy is to put a Indian puppet in place to rule Bangladesh, so Bangladesh govt. cannot make any noise and take this matter to international arena.

It is better to stop arguing with some guys who always hate India out of some prejudice. There is a list of guys from BD who do not listen to logic and facts but simply spread their B.S.

Let them trust China and when China diverts massive water towards its mainland from Tibet, these guys will come to know.

India will get its share of water for sure since one cannot divert all the water, But the lower areas will suffer if massive amount of water is diverted.

Soon they will know what China is up to.

Dude, I am from a military family and therefore I know the heavy cost of war and fighting that our families have to bear. People think soldiers are always warlike. But in any country, it is always the opposite case because it is the soldiers and their family members that know the importance of life and the time they spend with their families.

There are more than one ways to defeat an enemy whether stronger or weaker. And these days, there is no bigger weapon that economics, trade, commerce and business. A smart, aggressive and nationalistic government that can calculate the country's interests will be the first one to use these as weapons when dealing with emotionally unstable and violent hostile countries.
