Is China only supporting Pakistan to get back at India?

Such news twists the facts.
As a convention, local companies always are glad to share their profit with local communities to set up a long-term friendly relation. They usually focus on health and education areas because of their business natures.

Even taking a step back, military-aid should distinguish defensive and offensive.
Pak never showed aggressive in this region.
All reports implying his army are equipped to invasion are based on deliberate made-up.

Pak and India have both been accepted to SCO, which means nobody wants to see there will be an internal conflicts in this framework.
And all potential unstable factor will be solved in its annual heads of state talks.

This video surmises that part of the money China earns from its exports will find its way to military aid for Pakistan and will end up endangering Indian lives.

India and Pakistan have had a tumultuous mutual history. Violent separation followed by continued disputes and clashes have created a climate of suspicion and conflict. This is a tragedy of epic proportions given the shared history and heritage of the inhabitants of this land, stretching over thousands of years.

While the circumstances of their separation were unfortunate and sowed the seeds of this distrust, a lot has happened over the years to keep those embers burning.

There is considerable anger in India over Pakistan’s support for separatism and terrorism in India. Indians also feel that Pakistan has not done enough to curb or punish anti-India activities. The sight of Hafiz Saeed addressing mega rallies causes major consternation across the border. On the other hand, Pakistan feels strongly against India for creating agitation in Balochistan and also sparking hate between East and West Pakistan in 1971. If India and Pakistan were to put aside their differences, be good neighbours to each other, and truly work towards progress, the tremendous potential that exists in this region could be harnessed, thereby creating prosperity for a billion and a half people.

Unfortunately, religious fundamentalism, misplaced jingoism and vested interests, that have been exerting their influence, prevent any meaningful improvement in the ground situation.

As India and Pakistan have continued to grow apart, the one country that has taken the most advantage of the situation is China. China seeks to become a world power and among its Asian peers, India is the only country with the size and heft to potentially challenge Chinese hegemony. What better way to keep India in check than by supporting its bitter regional rival? China’s love for Pakistan therefore does not stem from shared ideology or cultural affinity, but is merely opportunism and hard-nosed self-interest.

There is much resentment in India against China for arming and funding Pakistan. It is also widely believed that China’s contribution to Pakistan’s nuclear and missile programs, in addition to supplying conventional military hardware, has strengthened Pakistan’s military to the disadvantage of India. China’s obstructive stance in matters like India’s membership to the NSG or getting the UN to declare Hafiz Saeed as a terrorist has also been upsetting for India.

This resentment has manifested itself in the growing calls to boycott Chinese goods in India, and one example of this growing voice is this video that surmises that part of the money China earns from its exports will find its way to military aid for Pakistan and will end up endangering Indian lives.

The Pakistan-China alliance is growing stronger by the day and as China continues its rise, its ability to bolster Pakistan will keep increasing. However, this relationship is becoming increasingly unequal. The financial terms of many projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor are extremely unfavourable to Pakistan, and the country runs the risk of being reduced to a Chinese colony in the medium term. While such a turn of events will surely provide Pakistan protection from India, it will end up losing its own identity.

It’s ironic that Pakistan, a country that sees itself as a leading Islamic nation, has aligned itself so closely with the one country that unapologetically represses the religious freedom of its Muslim minority. It’s well known that Beijing cracks down on Uighurs quite brutally and also suppresses Ramazan fasting and burqas.

Pakistan’s hatred and fear of India, a country with the second largest Muslim population in the world, causes it to overlook the persecution of Muslims at the hands of its benefactor. This is indeed food for thought for all of South Asia. What kind of future do we want for ourselves? One where we are divided and dominated by outsiders? Or one where we join hands and claim our rightful place in the world?

The author and source of the article is indian so it is immediately null, void, worthless and rejected. Due to severe propaganda. Let us now move on.

The West and Russia can never survive without indian assistance and money.

What do Indians feel about this? Just curious to hear from their side.
The Indian author has only given part of the picture.

In order to understand the whole picture one needs to look post WW2 Chinese geopolitics in its neighborhood.

The Chinese have inherited a miserable geography surrounded by around several countries( close to 14 or more). Some of these hostile to China like Japan South Korea, Russia, India and Vietnam.

To make matters worse, our Chinese friends have picked up enmity with USA, which is not even part of geography.

In order ensure their survival they have chosen to ensure the neighbors either fight amongst themselves or serve the purpose of a counterweight to nations hostile to China.

One example is Chinese support for North Korea and its nuclear weapons which threatens Japan, South Korea and USA.

They attempted to do same in South East Asia by propping up Vietnam first and then Cambodia, both of which turned to be a disaster, with Vietnam currently doing the exact opposite of what Chinese wanted.

In 1970s, they had fantasies of using India as a counterweight to USA and Soviet Union, which obviously did not work out.

Keeping in sync with above traditions they have chosen Pakistan to keep India occupied.

Currently Indian and Chinese troops are 1:1 ratio on the border with 400,000 Chinese troops in Tibet.

In the event of India Pakistan peace, India's 1.1 million active troops will facing China, forcing them to deploy half their active troops towards India.

Hence Pakistani hostilities with India, keep India off its back and allowing Chinese to use more of their military resources towards the East against far more superior threats like Russia, Japan and USA.

I see, Indians should not be so worried, it is good for South Asia to have closer cooperation.
ha ha ha ha:rofl: Not be so worried is not in Indian Dictionary. They do not want to see the development of South Asia except India and always act something to destabilise the region..

Sir, this is the third article that outlines in some capacity that there is nothing on Earth more important to the 7.5 billion people of the world than India. Why are people posting these half-retarded articles and why are the mods not banning such crap?

Yes, the Chinese are supporting Pakistan "only" to get back at India. Because they don't have the balls themselves, and they are so scared of them. And the Pakistanis have somehow bigger balls than both, the Indians and the Chinese combined!! And not to mention, Pakistani economy can't pay for a cup of Coffee, let alone affording to give a profit to the Chinese. But yet, its the top second highest return producing stock market on the planet :hitwall:. I hope people got the sarcasm out of my post above. We really need to stop these illogical articles from getting posted on here as they give birth to a million totally useless questions and debates!! Thanks

When I reading your reply, an image come out in my head, I am imaging how big is the Chinese and India's Balls, then imaging the combined ball .... lol lol :laugh:

i carry my identity .
indian !!!
Indian not indian

relations apply on mutual benifits and understanding....money does also play a part....india and russia both had invested in each other country...mainly in oil sector...

coming to main topic...

Before the 1962 war, Pakistani President Ayub Khan made an offer to provide a joint-defence to India in case of a Chinese invasion.

Back then Pakistan was a strong American ally, and we were the evil Red Communists from the north.

It was Nehru's decision to attack China in 1962 that forced the situation into how it currently is. If India had accepted Ayub Khan's offer then the geopolitical landscape in the region would be very different.

You gave us independence? Pakistan gained independence on august 14th while india did on the 15th.

You don't know your facts, you don't know your history.

The India Independence Act stipulated that the date of independence is 15th August 1947. Pakistan celebrating independence on the 14th is just that and nothing more, a celebration. Since you neither know nor care to find out, the reason for this was that Mountbatten was already committed to be in Delhi on the 14th evening, for the declaration of independence at midnight on the 14th, going into the 15th.

As to who gained independence and who did not, you might like to read the Act for yourself. That act grants Dominion status to India, and defines India as the British Crown Colony, except for those defined portions that would be separated out and formed into the Dominion of Pakistan. It is for this reason that Pakistan was not allowed to 'inherit' the membership of the UN that the original British Crown Colony had; it was not considered a successor nation, as the successor nation was defined, by the UN Secretary General, as India.

Just lashing out in anger is not a reasonable argument. And pointing to your DP whenever you run short of argument is neither fair, nor balanced, nor mature.

Uh, no. This is official history:

Bhutto's foreign policy legacy - DAWN.COM

Bhutto was then leading Pakistan's delegation at the UN General Assembly. He was alarmed at President Ayub Khan's offer of joint defence to India.

Bhutto felt that only those unlettered in international affairs could believe that such an offer would be accepted. In fact, it was more likely to incur the hostility of China which had so far, despite our membership of anti-communist western alliances, refrained from criticising Pakistan.

Ayub Khan was pro-American, and took a very anti-China stance, as was expected in those days.

It was only much later, that China and Pakistan became close. Even though Pakistan is still technically an American ally.

What everybody seems to forget is that Pakistan was a member of CENTO, the Baghdad Pact, as well as a member of SEATO. CENTO was a cordon sanitaire around Soviet Russia; do we need to spell out what SEATO cordoned off? Or was intended to cordon off? Bhutto's 'fears' were part of his chameleon like foreign policy, where he sought his own self-improvement through introducing twists and turns in foreign policy for which he would claim the total credit, and of which he would be the sole master.

I think India and China fighting is a waste. China till recently was a dharmic land. And in that it was dharmic for millennia, I think it's safe to say that even with the current avatar, they are closer to us culturally and spiritually than the west is. If China continues to fight India to the last Pakistani, that would be a shame, but it is what it is. We need to do the same elsewhere to return the favour and play the game. But enemies we are not. Militarily everyone not yourself is a threat and planned for accordingly. The US and Russia included.
