The appeal of Christianity has to do with dominant Western media.
Many people around the world, including Chinese, love Western culture and adopt it -- especially younger people.
Christianity is one aspect of 'acting white and Western'..
There is some truth in your comment.
As I have said, Chinese have preference for superior culture. Right now, the west are able to prove themselves intellectually and humanistically.
The day west become a shit hole, the appeal of Christianity will reduce.
It just seems your desire for China to convert to Christianity really shallow and superficial. I think you need to read more on why the West has become so successful. One example is the separation from religion and the state. Your desire for Chinese to convert for material gain seems odd and not what Christianity is about and definitely not a reason to convert to a religion.
I do not desire anyone to convert to Christianity and I am reading a lot of Buddhist scriptures. FYI.
The Buddhism is alive in me, and I was educated in Buddhist missionary school. The Singaporean Chinese are Atheist, Buddhist, Taoist and Christian and no one bothers. We married one another and we do not have mad apostasy capita punishment law.
I do not have problem in going to Buddhist school and reading scriptures in class. Some tribe will claim DISCRIMINATION.
