However, you clearly see that out of 17 missiles you've launched, not all of them hit the target.
Considering CMs have a high failure rate (25-30% even among western armies that have been building them decades) then a similar 25-30% failure rate for an exoatmospheric projectile is very good as well.
Also it’s likely Iran utilized a mixture of older Gen missiles with newest Gen missiles to gather comparable empirical data on the improved accuracy across gens in order to build better systems for tomorrow. So it’s more likely the failed systems were of older Gen variety, but new ones will also fail.
That is nature of the beast when you mass produce conventional missiles versus building 24-36 ICBMs used for doomsday scenarios.
