It's funny how other nations' internal affairs are also up to the judgement of the all knowing north Americans! Somebody needs to remind them of the American Indian near extermination and the African Slavery.

Who cares what you do inside your country? Your business is your business. It's up to your nation to figure out its own sh!t, choose its leaders, go through its own development and learn its lessons. Who taught the English about democracy and individual freedoms? Who told the Iranians to protect religious minorities and free the Jews?

Most people understand that there's a clear and distinct difference between how your nation chooses to treat itself and what it subjects others to. I think the notion of one's freedom ending where others' begins applies here.

With that in mind, from the Spanish-American wars to the death and destruction wrought on Iraq, I would have to say that the US, within its short existence, has probably been one of the most murderous nations in history.
