A shipment of BTR-4 armoured personnel carriers (APCs) is on its way back to Ukraine after being rejected by Iraq.

Several Ukrainian media organisations reported on 27 December that the ship carrying 40 BTR-4s - SE Pacifica (IMO: 9431460) - is returning the vehicles to Ukraine.

While the state arms export company Ukrspetseksport declined to confirm the reports, IHS Maritime data shows that the SE Pacifica passed through the Suez Canal on the 28 December and was heading towards the Bosporus.

The ship left Ukraine in March 2013 and arrived in Iraqi waters on 25 April, but was not allowed to unload, reportedly because the Iraqis were unhappy with the quality of the vehicles, and then spent months floating in the Gulf.

Hope that SAUR 2 gets a chance and our officials won't **** up again by asking ridiculous kick backs.

And a big LOL at the ukrainians trying to sell scrap as modern weapons.

This ain't the Cold War anymore,it's a buyers market.

You just do not understand the conditions in which our people have to work . Huge , titanic Soviet legacy can only be used with close cooperation with Russia . For oligarchs it is unprofitable - they did not want a strong state power, which will put some game frames . They are used to play without frames , to have full power. That is why they are so eager to EU , despite the fact that people are against EU. Most of people - for an alliance with the rest of Russia .
Brilliant engineers , high-skilled workers are forced to survive in an environment where one of the most important part of the superpower turns into a banana republic . So it turns out the crap products.

The "anglo saxons"/EU/Martians are at fault because the ukrainians tried to sell crap APC's to the irakis.Oh,and apparently the ukrainians can't concentrate at work if they're not sitting next to the russians. :sarcastic:

Commie vostok delivers. :omghaha:

Ukrainian defense industry exists in the harshest conditions. Such senility probably not present anywhere in the world. Half contractors - in Russia. A politically motivated cooperation with Russia is limited.
So it turns out that earlier in the Ukraine we have built aircraft carriers and ballistic missiles "Satan" and now we can not make some cheap APC. This is ridiculous.

I am not insulting the industries of Ukraine, they are hard workers but maybe it is time they implement better laws, systems investment do something on their own without russia's help any plan B?

You just do not understand our situation. The entire industrial sector of Ukraine is almoust 100% dependent on cooperation with Russia. Build anything from the ground up - we do not have no money, no time. Experienced workers, scientists, engineers - they either work in Russia or in China or in the West. Bring them back - almost unreal.

While I came across this read it interesting yet you say Ukraine suffers this is strange no EU to rescue despite pro EU government.

Ukraine became independent again when the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991. This dissolution started a period of transition to a market economy, in which Ukraine suffered an eight-year recession. Since then, however, the economy has experienced a high increase in GDP growth. Ukraine was caught in the worldwide economic crisis in 2008 and the economy plunged. GDP fell 20% from spring 2008 to spring 2009, then leveled off as analysts compared the magnitude of the downturn to the worst years of economic depression during the early 1990s.
Throughout its history, Ukraine has been one of the powerhouses of world agriculture due to its fertile conditions. The country, as of 2011, was the world's third-largest grain exporter. In 2011 the harvest was much larger than average harvest and export fees had been lowered. Ukraine is one of ten most attractive agricultural land acquisition regions.

Putin gave Ukraine a loan of $ 15 billion at the end of December. Plus reduced the price of gas - now Ukraine buys gas at the cheapest price in Europe (exept Belorussia). This will additionally save $ 5 billion each year.
Europe is not ready to give Ukraine anything. Plus - exports from Ukraine will be limited, and the importation of goods from Europe to Ukraine will be unlimited.
This they called justice.
By the way - Yanukovych was elected by the people of Ukraine in 2010, because he promised to integrate with the Customs Union and promised to make Russian a state language. As soon as he was elected President, he "forgot" all his promises. And so it was since 1991. Except Yushchenko - he did not elected at all and just put in Presidents after the so-called "Orange Revolution".

You're lying trough your teeth again commie.I shall call you Pinochio the Commie from now on.

1.Yuschenko was freely elected.
2.Recent polls in Ukraine:

48% want EU integration
32% want Union Custom with Russia.

3.Ukrainians voted separation from Russia for a reason, only the russian minority longs for Russia.
