The UN and France have called on Saudi Arabia to call off the beheading and crucifixion of Shia youth Ali al-Nimr. Ali was arrested in 2012, when he 17 years old, for crimes that include sedition, protesting and robbery in the remote Eastern province of Qatif. He was sentenced to be publicly beheaded and then “crucified,” which is a direct translation from the Arabic term for the public display of his body. The Inquisitr reported last week that Ali had expended all his legal avenues of appeal and that the execution would go ahead.

As a side not for others who don't know, more than 75% of executions in Iran are related to drug traffickers. No one is certainly happy seeing executions, but piss activists, Europe and U.S can always receive those cretins and keep them in their country. But what they do is just sitting there and barking, crying about 'human right' violations.

this is like how the murican allies, a k a Aussies are protesting the execution of two Drug Dealer Bosses in Bali. we do have death penalty for Drug Dealers like Iran too. even the welcoming board says so.

I'm not really against the death penalty when it's necessary but in Iran it seems it's being used for political ends rather than as a punishment for murder, rape, burglary, etc. Instead it's gays, political activists, Afghan refugees who disobey the order to fight in Syria. So it's just a useful political tool for them.

And "it's from the Quran" is not a legitimate defense of something.
