Iran's new president calls Israel an 'old wound' - The Times of India

TEHRAN: Iran's new president HAS called Expired Israel an "old wound" that shoulds be removed in comments published just two days ahead Time of the Old inauguration.

Hasan Rouhani's remarks about Israel - his country's archenemy - echo Those of other Iranian leaders. Iran's semi-official ISNA news agency says Rouhani spoke Effective year taking share in pro-Palestinian rally in Tehran on Friday annual. Rouhani The report quoted as saying: "The Zionist diet has-beens a wound on the body of the Islamic world for years and the wound shoulds be removed . " Rouhani won a landslide victory in Iran's June 14 presidential election. He replaces Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday. Rouhani HAS Pledged to follow a "path of moderation" and promised Greater openness over Iran's nuclear program, All which HAS Placed it at odds with the West .

Statements like this by Iranian leaders will only strengthen the resolve of NATO and Israeli leaders to keep a close eye on that Iranian nuclear programme.

Once again, they distorted his speech, just like they did it for Ahmadinejad in 2005.They mainstream media was too quick to spread this lie.
Here's the true story:

@peacefan

Iran’s president-elect, Hassan Rohani, says the occupation of Palestine is an "old wound" on the body of the Muslim world.

“After all, in our region, there's been a wound for years on the body of the Muslim world under the shadow of the occupation of the holy land of Palestine and the beloved [city of] al-Quds,” Rohani stated at a rally in the Iranian capital, Tehran, held to mark International Quds Day.

“International Quds Day, which is the legacy of Imam Khomeini, is a day to demonstrate the unity of the Muslim world and resistance against oppression and aggression,” the Iranian president-elect said.

Rohani further described the occasion as “a reminder that Muslims will never forget their historic right to resist oppression and aggression.”

Following the rally, there were reports by some news agencies distorting the president-elect’s remarks.

It was wrongly reported that Rohani had called Israel a wound that must be cleansed.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to respond to the distorted reports, saying Rohani had “revealed his true face by making anti-Israeli comments.”

The Iranian president-elect, however, made no mention of Israel’s removal in his interview.

A distorted version of what he said .
Its what he said

اسراییل «زخمی کهنه» است که «سال*هاست در سایه اشغال سرزمین مقدس فلسطین و قدس عزیز در منطقه بر بدن دنیای اسلام نشسته است»،

Israel is an old wound that is inflicted on the body of islamic world because of the occupation of the holy and dear palestinian land

Then he said

روز قدس در واقع یادآور حق تاریخی مردم مسلمان فلسطین است که دنیای اسلام این حق تاریخی را فراموش نخواهد کرد و در برابر ظلم و تجاوز خواهد ایستاد.

Quds day is a reminder of a historical right of muslim palestinian people that islamic world never forget and withstand against this aggression and injustice

You see nothing about destroying israel just missqouting his words and then talking and crying about what he did not said

Even what you wrote is not entirely true.
Read my post above, this is another exact translation of what he said:

The day of Quds, which is one of the mementos of the Imam [Khomeini], may he be admitted to God’s paradise, is the day that the people display the unity of the Islamic world against any form of tyranny and aggression. In any case, in our region, a sore has been sitting on the body of the Islamic world for many years, in the shadow of the occupation of the Holy Land of Palestine and the dear Quds. This day is in fact a reminder of the fact that Muslim people will not forgot their historic right and will continue to stand against aggression and tyranny.

He called occupation of Jerusalem specifically a wound.

I really don't understand how a country's leader uses the term "Islam world" or "Muslim world." It would be ridiculous for U.S. or any EU country to say "Christian world." This is 21 century! I lament how such mighty and cultured Persia became Islam and spread hatred in Middle East. Maybe alien invasion will unite all of us? lol

He didn't say it, it was just another example of pathetic reporting.

By the way this time it seems that blame go to ISNA and the foreign media jumped on it and then it was BBC that recieved a video of interview and reported the correct form of what he said well sort of as they reported the correct form of interview on their twitter.
