Iranian women risk arrest as they remove their veils for #WhiteWednesday

Is there a faith that come with no value forced of people. Also don't forget if you live in a society there are social contracts that you most follow otherwise it'll be anarchy.

And in Quran nobody can argue that hijab is ordered for holy prophet family in verse 33 and 59 of Surat Al Ahzab
But you also must consider verse 31 from Surat Al Noor that some claim it ordered to wear hijab and some claim it suggested to wear it . I'm not a cleric or Islamic school at so i don't believe I can decide for others . but it shows Islam at least suggested women Must wear headscarf and if somebody says its not in Islam he is not aware of all the facts.

again i have to repeat myself - there is a great difference between a religion suggesting woman to wear Hijab and making it mandatory for all woman to do so under state law with the threat of punishment if they fail to do so.

There is nothing in Islam to suggest you can FORCE people to do that , as @El Sidd pointed out - there is no compulsion in religion.

Unfortunately this is the bitter Truth in the whole history of Islam where slave girls moved in the Islamic society without any Hijab and even with naked breasts and they were beaten by the government with sticks if they ever took Hijab by mistake.

I initially thought it was only in the Sunni Muslims, so I went to the Shias and I found the same Ahadith from Shia Imams regarding slave women.

You asked about Quran.

Are you Quranist?

Do you believe in Ahadith?

It is not my fault that these orders are not present in Quran but in Ahadith, which Muslims unanimously accepted (Ijma) and made it part of their Fiqh and acted upon it in whole of their history.

If you are a Shia, then I later found the Ahadith of Shia Imams too and I could share them with you.

I am a Shia who believes Quran is the primary and Hadees as secondary. Both are important. Can you please quote some legit Hadees before making such claims?

I always had a question can there be another vote on it ., lets say after 6 months or 20 years?
1. Hijab is good.
2. Nothing should be mandatory.
3. If people want to change it then it's up to them and even there could be a referendum to see what people really want and then follow it.

I've read something about that before, can you post the hadiths or is it related to Islamic states post 4 Caliphs?

Anyway, with modern day life style implications and self centeredness , more and more women will want to move this direction not just in Iran but other Muslim countries. Because there is a lot of attention given to self image, women and men are expected to dress nicely, have proper hair cut/style, be fit, etc....

If you wanna wear it, fine, don’t wanna wear it, fine. No need to make a commotion over it and nor should there be any enforcement.

But they are Iranians? Arent they not?

No you can not have a referendum about it.

Democracy is not the tyranny of the majority over the minority. Not being forced to wear a hijab is a basic human right that can not be infringed or taken away by any vote.

That is why a good democracy is also protected by a good constitution that protects basic human rights - like in our case : not to be discriminated by gender is rather basic . . .

How can you control what people wear retards.

The way west stop Muslim women to wear hijab.

If west can exercise their freedom then why Muslim countries can't do it to apply Islamic law to make society Islamic.

The west is not stopping anyone. Just banning niqab which is disgusting eyesore. Degrading for a human not to be able to show their face in public. Thought up by a insecure maniac man for sure.

Khamenai degeneracy at best: in Syria they slaughter millions for sake of secularism and in Iran they slaughter for "Islamism".
None of your business zio nazi
