Iranian Plane Captain Asks to Be Sent to Mission Impossible in Yemen Again

A no-fly zone (NFZ) is a territory or an area over which aircraft are not permitted to fly. Such zones are usually set up in a military context, somewhat like a demilitarized zone in the sky, and usually prohibit military aircraft of a belligerent power from operating in the region. Aircraft that break the no-fly zone may be shot down, depending on the terms of the NFZ.

Dude, political aspect is much more important than a few minutes military action. What dont you understand about this ?

.
The plane had to turn back when the Saudis bombed the runway the plane was meant to land on.
looking from the side line
I am expecting a tragedy and an escalation of hostilities between the two countries
Iranians for some innocent reason think that Saudis will back off if they dare them to shoot down a civilian plane
I don't know Saudis will back off and would blow up the plane even if its carrying pilgrims, doctors and with humanitarian supplies.

Saudis command blanket approval from their Arab allies and West cant care less and will stay away.
expect Russia or China no one will utter a word in support of Iran.

this is the reality of the situation whether someone likes it or not.

as a friend of Iran
I will request it to build up peaceful and conciliatory diplomacy among the Muslim countries to bring the temperature down in the middle east. join hands with Turkey and Pakistan and Iraq to tackle the threat of ISIS

as a friend of Saudis
I will request them to stop being obnoxious and stop pummelling a poor country which has a an internal civil unrest. and instead concentrate on taking out ISIS instead of lauding it from the sidelines

Saudi's have the US backing when It comes Iran... so they would face no problems in UN, like Israel... so why they didn't shoot the plane.... very weird. :what:
You don't think Saudis can bomb Iran's civilian airliner and get away with it do you? Unless Yemeni army itself acts, shooting down Iran's airliner over a foreign country is officially an act of war by Saudis and I don't think a country who can't launch a ground invasion without begging Pakistan and Egypt wants a war with Iran.

It was in Yemen's air space and everything was coordinated with Sana'a airport.

This will remain to be one of the most stupid military actions: bombing an airport and rendering it out of service only to prevent a civilian airliner full of doctors and medicines to land in it to prove that they are so stronkkkk.

Many Yemenis were bashing Saudis in Twitter for this stupid action.

.
What Yemenis think of this incident:
KSA has imposed humanitarian blockade to Yemen and doing its best to keep it tight.on the other hand, Iran is the only one trying to break the blockade.

What Iranians think:
Saudis are cowards and couldnt do anything to the Iranian plane wheres IRIAF could force the Rigi plane to land on Iranian airport.

What Saudis think:
Well, they dont think too often.

Mate...no-fly zone.

If you have closed the Airspace...you would say "OK, land your plane in Saudi Arabia, we are gonna search the plane if you are really carrying humanitarian aid, we will let you land in Yemen". If plane is not complying, you would fire some warning shots and repeat your orders again. If the plane is still not complying you would shot it down.

How can they be sure that...you are not supplying Houthis with AA weaponry ?

I'm saying this, they could have justified shooting the down the Iranian Plane in the International Arena..

Arab militaries are incompetent. Dont believe anything they say. Usually ''closing airspace'' is done by professional forces such as NATO,US etc

Coward wahabis, after failing to stop Iranian plane they decide to bomb civilian airport runway

15 minutes after entering Yemen air space on behalf of the Saudi government this message was sent that you ain't allowed to land in Sana Airport.

Iranian pilot responded that we are in Yemeni air space and it's not your business, our cargo is humanitarian aid and to prove his honesty captain says you can control the cargo in Sana airport .

Saudis threatened that if Iranian cargo plane continues it path Saudi fighter jets will be sent to intercept it, after a time Saudi fighters appeared in the sky while flying close to Iranian cargo plane to force it to land in Saudi air port.

Iranian pilot neglected their request and proceeded his plan to land in Sana ... while plane was preparing to land Saudi's fighters bombed Sana's airport runway and control tower to prevent it from landing ....

Iranian pilot noticed bomberdment of runway therefore he started circling over the Sana airport and then he decided to use the remain intact runway to land in airport consequently Saudi fighter jets bombed the rest of runway ..in fact it was the only chance left for the Saudi pilots to prevent his landing in the Yemeni capital.

They don't want to piss off Iran more than they already have. Iran's negative public opinion against KSA is at an all time high after how they treated Iran's pilgrims. One wrong move and they can start a war.

That flight was labelled as a red cross cargo. All those kinds of cargo go through a formal permit process which is coordinated by Red Cross or Red Crescent. Shooting it down would not only violate international treaties but also would be responded to by a similar move by Iran's military.

I think they handled it very smartly. Instead of escalating the situation with Iran, they decided to bomb the run way and force the plane back. Win-Win situation.
Yeah! The only thing that didn't matter was the Yemeni's who now have lost another means of receiving humanitarian aids.

One may wonder isn't there a single AA gun in Yemen? I mean the fighters were escorting the Iranian plane so they were in reach.

Which international treaties...it doesn't work like that.

You think "Saudi Arabia unilaterally declared Yemeni airspace as no-fly zone, and you don't recognize that blokade" however US, GCC, Turkey, EU, etc... recognizes it.

If They had shot the Iranian plane and Iran had moved the incident to UN....you wouldn't succeed. It would be just like the Mavi Marmara incident.

If you wanna learn more about the International Laws ( which can be flexible) you can find the "Palmer Report" and read it.

About War...no i don't think it would start a all-out war. Maybe low-intense war but nothing serious.

After declaring a no-fly zone if you don't show how serious you are. Others will just abuse your incompetence. I wouldn't be surprised if Iran starts to bomb pro-Government forces as the next step.
