manufacturing cars should be according to the free market, it is not a strategic asset. Local factories and companies across the world cannot compete with the Chinese market. there is simply no market for locally made cars unless the government apply harsh taxes on imported goods to replenish local production (Like in Brazil or Egypt) or a government that is suffering from sanctions like Iran. When the sanctions on Iran is left off for example, and Iran engages in world trade, the indigenous Iranian car will die.

khodro is a disaster. we need to learn and us cars are welcomed .
right now when we buy a car in iran there is a tax of the price of the car so the price becomes terrible.
it is good because it means cars should be manufactured inside Iran.

iran market is special. iranian mind is much more about making money than national interest for many (at least people who can invest). so for exemple even with the terrible policy of France against Iran, even sepahi try to make business with French manufacturers.
so you see you have even chance to get saudi stuff
or even israeli (it happened many times)

I was just about to say the same thing. LMAO me who thought Iran's mullah's didn't want anything to do with the evil infidel U. S and Israel. They seem to have come to their senses and realising how fruitful all their illogical anti western have only hampered their own country growth and affected their citizens living standards. Their leaders seem to have realised how their actions which led to sanctions /isolation has made Iran economy contract each year to the point that its regional rivals have overtaken it(Turkey, KSA etc all have a larger economy today) . That's why I have been saying the mullahs have brought more harm than good to Iran because of their illogical radical anti western /Israeli stance. Now they seem to have realised if they continue this way, then things will only get worse for them. Better late than never. Geo politics is just a game :ideology /religion has no part in it, pragmatism/realism is always Paramount, even if it means cooperating with your enemy at times for your own interests, then So be it .
