Surprising thing is everywhere I go and people ask me where I am from and I say I am from Pakistan it's the Iranians who are the most friendly and start shaking my hand and want to hug me. This goes for the ex-Shah of Iran contingent and the Mullah contingent. Totally confusing as I am wary of them. Though I might have geopolitical and strategic affinity I have seem to know the Iranian people very little. It's time we started School kid exchanges and student exchanges to get to know our neighbours better.
Hands down Iranians and Turks are the warmest, kindest, most hospitable people in the world next to us Pakistanis. This is why tourism is booming in Turkey’s small cities and Iranian expats become such great assets to their host countries.
Being in the US, I have met a lot of Muslims from many countries and I have to say these two ethnicities are my favorite as a choice of friends. Muslim Africans (Nigerians, Malians, Somalis, Senegalese, etc) and Indonesian/Malaysian people are very nice as well.
