LONDON: Iran has drawn back from its ambitions to build a nuclear weapon, Israel’s defence minister was quoted as saying on Tuesday, while warning that his country may still have to decide next year whether to launch a military strike against it. Tehran denies its nuclear work has any military dimensions but governments in Europe and the United States are increasingly concerned over its intentions.

Diplomacy and successive rounds of economic sanctions have so far failed to end the decade-old row, raising fears of Israeli military action against its arch-enemy. Defence Minister Ehud Barak told Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper that an immediate crisis was avoided when Iran chose to use more than a third of its medium-enriched uranium for civilian purposes earlier this year.

He told the paper that the decision “allows contemplating delaying the moment of truth by eight to ten months”.

“There could be at least three explanations. One is the public discourse about a possible Israeli or American operation deterred them from trying to come closer,” he said.

“It could probably be a diplomatic gambit that they have launched in order to avoid this issue culminating before the American election, just to gain some time. It could be a way of telling the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) ‘oh we comply with our commitments’.” reuters

Most of the world have access to only two enrichment facilities inside Iran.
Remember North Korea: They did their first test in 2006 and declared it but most of the world said that the test was not successful.

When my friend talks about fissile material, they have to take this highly enriched uranium, get it from 20 percent up. Then they have to be able to have something to put it in. There is no weapon that the Iranians have at this point. Both the Israelis and we know we'll know if they start the process of building a weapon. From the first place we've said that the 20% enriched uranium is about to be used in Tehran research reactor as fuel nothing else what we're doing now is changing them to rods to get installed in the reactor . we asked them to sell it to us but they didn't . they were and are well aware about our purpose it was crystal clear . their words is look like a person who's chickened out and tries to justify and whitewash his acts .

Nuke is not just made by Uranium. Actually Plutonium the faster way to do it. Iran has long had a Plutonium facility in Arak that has never been inspected.
The giant steel cylinder in Parchin could have been used for only two purposes:
1. Nuke test
2. Making diamonds
