Iran has not accused Pakistan of abducting its border security guard in its complaint to United Nation, foreign office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam clarified on Monday.

According to a Radio Pakistan report, the spokesperson refuted media speculation that Iran had lodged a complaint with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon against Pakistan for abduction of its border security guard. Aslam clarified that Iran had only mentioned that its border guards were abducted from Iran-Pakistan border.

Earlier, in a letter sent to UN secretary general, Iran Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said, “while noting the efforts of the governments of Pakistan, Lebanon, and Yemen, our hostages remain in captivity and the perpetrators of previous crimes have yet to face justice.”

Iran urged UN chief to take notice of the abduction of its border guards and called for more resolute global action, yielding practical results in recovering abducted guards.

The guards were seized while patrolling the lawless frontier with Pakistan in early February. Later on March 24, Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice), an Iranian rebel group in Sistan-Baluchistan province later claimed responsibility. The group claimed on its website in March that it had killed the border guard.

Even if they did it doesn't matter because all they have to do is give actionable evidence & if they do then according to Sartaj Aziz we'd even consider a Joint-Operation with the Iranians on this !

Iran is fueling Anti iranian sentiments in the minds of Pakistanis. In which long run is not Good for iran considering that as per survey's.Iran was not the most favourted country in syria or iraq or even Russia but Pakistan.

Recently their new leadership has also warned turkey.I don't know what are they upto

you people are so rude ...

goddamn .....

if i was in charge , we also would take no responsability whatsoever for the things happening along the border .....

if one day an armed group kidnapped a whole brigade of soldiers from pakistan and executed them , iran would take no step at all ......

Or just asking for evidence & offering Joint-Operation in return !
evidance of what ?

we are saying that the govt. of pakistan has no relation to kidnappers ourselves !!!! we are not accusing you of kidnapping them !!!

is that hard to absorb ?

joint op ? thats what we have requested !! and your govt. denied !!!

bro , please dont be a hypocrite ....

Last Government head, Ahmedinijad, was a Jew and there is substantial evidence suggesting his background. In order to avoid that in the eyes of Iranian public, he stepped up his rhetorics against the state of Israel. There is a lot of mess in Iran. Similarly, it is strongly rumored that Khomeni's family came from Kashmir and he played his part to avoid that. The new Government has tuned up against its neighbors because they are genuine Shi'as. Except for Iraq, rest of their neighbors are predominantly Sunnis.

Actionable evidence of their presence on Pakistani Soil !

And the Advisor to the PM of Pakistan, Sartaj Aziz - Pakistan's de-facto Foreign Minister - is on record as saying that the Iranian side has give us no evidence as per which they determined that the Guards are in Pakistan & that the Jaish-al-adal are based in Pakistan & yet despite that we've looked & we've not found any indication of the Iranian Guards being kept on Pakistani Soil....give us the evidence if you think they are so that we can look once more & he even offered a Joint-Operation against the terrorists if Iran gives us actionable evidence - So far nothing...not even in the letter written to the UN was there any evidence or even an assertion registered !

I don't think that's true, asking for more cooperation on this incident has nothing to do with fueling anti Iranian sentiments. It's been more than a month and there is no clear answer from Pakistani side, some officials say they are cooperating with Iran while at the same time, another official says soldiers are not even in Pakistan.

On the other hand, you should also mention how the current actions of Pakistani government will affect Iranian feelings about Pakistan, don't see it only from one side. There is heavy pressure from public on the government to pursue fate of these abducted soldiers, it's all over the media and too many campaigns have started to free them.
No one has any problems with Pakistani people, but unfortunately some members from both sides are fueling hatred among ordinary people.

No one has threatened Turkey, if you are talking about that thread in ME section, then it was created more than a year ago and the news was already false.

1. Jundallah operated for 8 years on Pakistani soil, so it's nothing extraordinary my dear friend.
2. How can Iran give evidence to Pakistan when you don't allow any Iranian troops or intelligence officers on your soil? o_O
3. They have launched all of their attacks from Pakistan. So where is their base? It should be either in the sea or they should come all the way from Afghanistan to Pakistan to launch the attacks from there which is too ridiculous. Why is it so hard to admit my friend? Isn't it something that has happened before? What's with this state of denial?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad revealed to have Jewish past

A photograph of the Iranian president holding up his identity card during elections in March 2008 clearly shows his family has Jewish roots.

ahm_1494743f.jpg

A close-up of the document reveals he was previously known as Sabourjian – a Jewish name meaning cloth weaver.

The short note scrawled on the card suggests his family changed its name to Ahmadinejad when they converted to embrace Islam after his birth.

The Sabourjians traditionally hail from Aradan, Mr Ahmadinejad's birthplace, and the name derives from "weaver of the Sabour", the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia. The name is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran's Ministry of the Interior.

Experts last night suggested Mr Ahmadinejad's track record for hate-filled attacks on Jews could be an overcompensation to hide his past.

Ali Nourizadeh, of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies, said: "This aspect of Mr Ahmadinejad's background explains a lot about him.

"Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith.

"By making anti-Israeli statements he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections. He feels vulnerable in a radical Shia society."

A London-based expert on Iranian Jewry said that "jian" ending to the name specifically showed the family had been practising Jews.

"He has changed his name for religious reasons, or at least his parents had," said the Iranian-born Jew living in London. "Sabourjian is well known Jewish name in Iran."

A spokesman for the Israeli embassy in London said it would not be drawn on Mr Ahmadinejad's background. "It's not something we'd talk about," said Ron Gidor, a spokesman.

The Iranian leader has not denied his name was changed when his family moved to Tehran in the 1950s. But he has never revealed what it was changed from or directly addressed the reason for the switch.

Relatives have previously said a mixture of religious reasons and economic pressures forced his blacksmith father Ahmad to change when Mr Ahmadinejad was aged four.

The Iranian president grew up to be a qualified engineer with a doctorate in traffic management. He served in the Revolutionary Guards militia before going on to make his name in hardline politics in the capital.

During this year's presidential debate on television he was goaded to admit that his name had changed but he ignored the jibe.

However Mehdi Khazali, an internet blogger, who called for an investigation of Mr Ahmadinejad's roots was arrested this summer.

Mr Ahmadinejad has regularly levelled bitter criticism at Israel, questioned its right to exist and denied the Holocaust. British diplomats walked out of a UN meeting last month after the Iranian president denounced Israel's 'genocide, barbarism and racism.'

Benjamin Netanyahu made an impassioned denunciation of the Iranian leader at the same UN summit. "Yesterday, the man who calls the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium," he said. "A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies the murder of six million Jews while promising to wipe out the State of Israel, the State of the Jews. What a disgrace. What a mockery of the charter of the United Nations."

Mr Ahmadinejad has been consistently outspoken about the Nazi attempt to wipe out the Jewish race. "They have created a myth today that they call the massacre of Jews and they consider it a principle above God, religions and the prophets," he declared at a conference on the holocaust staged in Tehran in 2006.

you think we are stupid ? we are asking you for search while we're not sure they're in your lands ?

Then what seems to prevent you from doing one of the following:

(a) furnishing evidence to the Media if you think the Pakistani Officials are lying !

(b) furnishing evidence to the UN if you think the same !
