It just makes me laugh,how these guys are desperately trying to show that Iran and Egypt can not have relations.But history has shown,these guys have been always the losers and fought on the loser's side.

It will improve. Egyptians love Turkey. The ruling party in Egypt has close relations with the ruling part in Turkey. You guys are the most successful Muslim country at this point, whats not to like ?

I spoke to a few egyptians , nearly all say this , we are very happy Mursi came we all supported him and said , we would like to be more like Turkey , instead of Saudi Arabia and said Egypt will be like Turkey , hope for best relations

We want a modern, civil country that respect humans, women, and minorities rights. We have all the respect for Saudi Arabia, but Saudis are still fighting for these rights while you guys have it already.

If you understand Arabic i think you should listen to this video(Min 14 to Min 18). This is an Official in the ruling party explaining that Egypt wants to restore relations with Iran gradually and he is saying that Egypt can make relations between Iran and Gulf Arabs improve. He is basically saying that Iran should be looked at as a strategic all, not a sectarian rival. This is a interview was made about 2 days ago! He also said that Iran will abandon Al Assad regime once other countries in the region improve their relations with Iran which what i think would what Egypt's would ask Iran to do. We will see. I am optimistic thu.

Unfortunately,I don't know much Arabic,but if I'm not mistaken,I read the translation of this interview on an Iranian site.His words sound promising,I hope Morsi also thinks like him.

Egyptian president hails ‘Syrian revolution’ in Tehran non-aligned summit


Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi hailed “brave” Syrians and Palestinians for their struggle against oppression during his speech at the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran on Thursday.

Contrary to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who ignored the Syrian conflict in his opening speech, Mursi said that Egypt is “ready” to aid and help the Syrian revolution.

He said that the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad has lost legitimacy and the international community must work to stop the bloodshed in the country.

“Our solidarity with the struggle of the Syrian people against an oppressive regime that has lost its legitimacy is an ethical duty as it is a political and strategic necessity,” he said.

The Syrian delegation, meanwhile, left the non-aligned meeting when Mursi criticized the Syrian government. After the end of the summit, regime of President Bashar al-Assad said in a statement that Mursi is inciting violence in Syria when he criticized Damascus.

The Egyptian leader also said that it is not “acceptable” that none of the African nations have permanent membership in the U.N. Security Council, which he urged for it to be more “representative.”

Man, you even liked the most racist Israeli members (Ptex) here whose posts were full of insults to Palestinians in the terrorist attacks on Egyptian soldiers' thread, and it turned the terrorists weren't Palestinians but Egyptians.
