Lahoris are good people. Gujranwalaites and Gujratis aren't. They killed local people using their sectarian brethren. Taji Khokhar from Sargodha has killed 300+ local people in Rawalpindi, with his recent victim being a woman. He's the right hand man of this Riaz the Sialkoti. Of course I don't condone victimizing the innocent, but the crimes of the Punjabis I'm mentioning are unforgivable.

Their prices are already super high (since they're developed). Since I'm not living in Pakistan, I want long term investment. Something like investing in a place which is not very populated and 10-20 years forward, as shops, plazas, more homes are made and less available property is available, then sell for high price.

Prefer to buy acres of land for same price as I'd pay for few kanal of land in Bahria.

But question is, do land mafia exist as I hear it? Or it's something that is exxagerated?

No no land mafia does exist
currently in a battle with it myself

As other members said invest in places like DHA, Bahria Town who have your proper records,
places like Malir Cantt in Karachi

There are developing projects like Emaar to in Karachi,
you can look that up

.
So I want to invest in Pakistan, but advised not to by almost everyone here. Their reason being is Kabza mafia. Since the mafia knows we're foreigners and have no time to fight a lenghty court battle about the ownership of property, they happily take over it. Plus if all else fail, they threaten to kidnap/kill if the owner visits Pakistan.

Is this true still? There is much to invest in and I rather not invest in something that is a complete worry.

When I lived in Pakistan, this guy who was building the house died. So these 2 families (pakhtoon) fought over ownership of dead man's land, saying it belonged to them. Funny thing is, the two were also distance relatives and neighbours.

I prefer to invest in peshawar/adjoining areas.

Your concern for land mafia is valid but especially in Pindi-ISB its not much, there are some big mafias like DHA and Bahria town and some random small ones, small ones would never dare to do anything ill to big ones. So investing in such societies is safe.

Investing in property is really a good business, one can get some hefty profits. If you don't wanna invest in DHA or Bahria try any CDA approved sectors, they are not gonna be cheap though.

@ghoul Pindi is a part of Punjab and always will be, it is dominated by Punjabis and will always remain a Punjabi center.

Nope. We Potoharis and Seraikis will escape the occupation sooner or later. In terms of population, Pindi is Potohari majority. Of course, we'll make our province constitutionally, so no need to worry, we'll act humane and all. Just wait for us to wake up from slumber. As soon as Seraiki province gets made, we'll wake up immediately. Let's see when Seraiki waseb gets made.

yes it exists, so you might wanna invest in Defense, in many places Defense is still under construction such as in Rawalpindi, so prices are comparatively down.

Yes you can invest in DHS, Bahria Town and you will be okay. Just be careful that you don't buy "files" as files are easily faked. If you want to buy property, go and ask the customer services at the info counter.

If you are interested in Property in Islamabad or Lahore, you can ask for Commander(r) Naasir by name at Bahria Town head office in Islamabad, he is a very respectable fellow and will not misguide you.

Good luck.

Well he thought the Punjabis of Pindi can keep it within Punjab even if a Potohar province gets made. I laughed at his naivety. Trust me, you guys can't.
