Mirages should be retired as soon as possible. Why is there urgency to nearly 45 year old fighter to have air refueling ? J-10C and J-11D for the navy should be the priority and J-31 in the future.

It is because PAF has mastered Mirages and have put a great deal into it ....Also some of the Mirages are in much better condition than what you think ...not all Mirages are junk ...Mirages can do all those jobs which you may expect from any other aircraft in the F-16 inventory, say F-16 MLU .....!

Good for your standards perhaps, not mine. Here are the flaws i noted:

Crappy sound track.
No special effects.
Interviews and voice-overs are just horrible. One guy was speaking as if he was reading from a text book.
lil to No focus on planes aerobatics.
And a whole lot of others things which a DIRECTOR can point out.

Bhai.
The question asked was regarding the retractable refueling probe. What you are mentioning is the standard non retracting refueling probe. The refueling probe will go on after half the fleet of block 2s has been manufactured and will be retrofitted to the whole fleet of IFTs


Some M3/M5s already have a refueling probe. Whether this will go on the whole fleet of Mirages is not something I have heard. I would have thought it would be a bit of a waste as we are looking to retire the fleet sooner or later. Even the newer versions will probably not last beyond 2020 if all goes well with JFT integration .

+It would have been nice if the video focused on the enhancements

What did I just watched ....

• It would have been nice if Counter Warfare , measures were introduced, shown it in place
  
• Air to Air refueling , should have shown its capabilities or testing visuals
• Enhancement in payloads with explanation on type of payloads it can carry or more quantity of stuff
• Enhancements in performance of engine or such and such
• 2 Seat versions should have been highlighted if produced
• Did we add any missile into JF17 thunder
• Did we add ability to communicate with awacs better etc

Were there any enhancements in POD for Thunder - etc

The pilot getting into plane was not necessary


The video quality was good however , was missing proper narration / introduction and focus on objective of introducing a plane

PAF should seriously step up production of JF17 block 2, and replace all Mirage and F7PG by 2017, Block 3 should be equal to F16 Block 52 other wise it would be waste of time and money of tax payers, block 3 should use single dual seat version like MIG35 add extra fuel tank to increase its range, and keep cost low. 2 new hard points would have been big improvement in block 2 under wings or under intakes for pods, I don't consider block 2 to big improvement to designated as block2, their was still room for improvement, in engine performance, PAF should produce WS-10 or WS-13 for JF17 thunder in Pakistan for complete self reliance.

I think we need to add up more speed, range and accuracy. Can it be possible that we can use laser ballistic missile on our jets? We need to work more on upgrading laser ballistic missiles with the capability to use it from tanks, ships and jets.

That 1.6 mach is without A/B it's good enough we should focus on maneuverability more than speed

That speed is enough as It is multi-role fighter not an interceptor fighter besides we need maneuverability in close combat not that much speed ..!!

we Always have the budget problem. That tiny budget our forces get, In accordance to that budget we are going good. But the thing you are saying that up against maneuverability of su-27 , su-30 and su-33...........In Anatolian Eagle 2009 we managed to defeat EFTs with our number 9 squadron's F-16s In an air exercise in China we managed to lock on J-11, A Chinese version of su-27 with our Thunder, we are not that far away , I mean cobra maneuver is not everything .....!!!!
