The Chinese definition says it need to be at least 10000km in range, as 10k km is required to cover both the east and west coast of the US. We achieved that 30 years ago. Please note, we made it into active service 30 years ago.

Agni-V is comparable to our retired 7000km range DF-4 at best. I don't think it is a good idea to have such 50 years old crap to start with. The funny thing is india is working hard to get such 5 decades old technologies to work -- and it is not guaranteed to work.

Man this is so pathetic. When I was in India in 1998, I met a couple of fellow students from the Northeast in particular Nagaland and Assam. Even at that time with my interactions and discussions with these guys, they told me how CHina supplies theses miltant groups weapons and training. My friend even told me of being able to buy AK's for 5,000 rupees in Dimapur. The same Dimapur that was busted as an open black market for all kind of weapons in 2007. Ten yrs I left!!! Its just mind boggling to me, that the IB director is coming to this conclusion after how many yrs? I was a young student barely 19 yrs old and If I could dig that much info with no language skills than the sorry state of intel in India is sad and frightening. How we select the most incompetent ppl to run certain important offices. I am not blaming this guy in particular because he is in this position due to the previous idiotic corrupt directors. Kao was the last greatest warrior we had after Sam Manewshaw. Yeah, i know different ppl fofrom different positions but that's the kind of ppl we need.
