Tilting a God damn frigate

Primary reason looks to be failure of load bearing jacks.
Sir,
while this thread has become mockery exercise, load lifting of heavy Over Dimensional Consignments (ODC) is one of the trickiest and dangerous works in rigging industry.
It is undeniable that it is a case of either random equipment failure or Human error.

This is a 125 ton locomotive tipping in identical fashion in a Diesel locomotive workshop owing to lifting jack failure.
Jacks being hydraulic devices work on a principle that oil pressure remains intact (with seals forming pressure boundaries). If there is a leakage due to rubber seal failure, there is a sudden pressure loss creating an unequal distribution of load on other jacks and in some unfortunate cases tipping of load.
It looks like the same case here too.

LOL, Pakistanis are calling a small boat worth ship's slip a "MAJOR"setback for IN.
here's the major setback for Pakistan which you must actually fear.

before it may leave against Pakistan, Commander Pigeon is already there to take care of such busienss.... JK

on topic: The ship can be repaired but loss of lives is irreparable. That shows either incompetence on the part of handlers or the engineering badly needs repair its dock first that system failed to handle the ship. Rather than saying that such things happens in big nations etc, heads must be rolled as the same incident claimed 2 precious lives those who were not keyboard warriors so either take it seriously or be on that level while risking the professionals lives.

No crane big enough to lift tilted warship, foreign help sought

If it's no big deal, why did IN had to give a statement even denying that it was their Sub. !!!
You don't mess with (war)ships in international waters, even those that are only fictitiously there.

Do you remember when an IN vessel (INS Godavari) came and hit a PN vessel in international waters (PNS Babur)
OFF TOPIC (unrelated)

I have a question and there is no polite way of asking " How the **** did this happen"? Tilting a God damn frigate :o:
The dry dock where the INS Betwa was being refitted was being flooded to enable the warship to float out of the dock.

This is a delicate and time consuming process where the crew of the warship and the Dock Master (a senior Navy officer responsible for the maintenance of centre of gravity and centre of buoyancy of the warship, key to its stability in the water) must work together closely . In this case, there appear to have been grave mistakes committed in the process of floating the warship which resulted in the frigate crashing to its side.

The likely cause of the accident was a failure of the block mechanism that is used to dock and undock ships. Sources said the accident occurred when the vessel was being set into water and the dock was flooded to keep the ship afloat. That was when the dock blocks either broke or slipped, said sources. The breaking of dock blocks is uncommon. In the case of INS Betwa, the block that broke or slipped is beneath the ship.
