Infiltration bid foiled by armed forces, 1 militant killed.

SRINAGAR: Army on Monday foiled an infiltration bid in Keran sector along the line of control, killing a militant in the operation.
On noticing some suspicious movement in the sector, troops opened fired at the ultras, an Army official said.
The guns fell silent after a brief gunfight. During
search operation, police recovered the body of the
militant and an AK rifle.

Now a days more than half of these militants are hunted down during infiltration itself and rest during search operations. Only lucky few get to live 5-6 months that too by hiding themselves here and there.

MAJOR INFILTRATION BID ELIMINATED IN KERAN SECTOR

Keran sector, Kupwara, 29 Jul 2013

Based on specific information from intelligence agencies regarding likelihood of terrorists attempting infiltration in Keran Sector of the Frontline Division in Kupwara of North Kashmir, alert troops detected move of some terrorists in a nala, 20-25 m ahead of fence, towards the Line of Control in general area of Shalabato.

The alert troops deployed on the fence immediately brought accurate fire on the terrorist with multi grenade launchers, claymore mines and small arms resulting in elimination of one terrorist on the spot and causing grievous injuries to others. The terrorists fled across the Line of Control leaving the dead behind along with large quantity of war like stores. Search operations by the troops in the area are still on. Body of one of the terrorists, two AK-47 and three rucksacks have been recovered so far.
