The most recent & shocking policy is "sink the boat" for illegal fishing activity within our maritime zone and "no clemency" for drug prisoners on death row.

Global Maritime Axis, this is THE Cornerstone of Indonesian foreign policy. Policy that will make us stronger as a country, as a nation will be fully supported and pursued. No longer we bend and shy away if our national interest is disturbed. Indonesian maritime axis will need China support and need to be connected with the new maritime silk road.

So, in 5-10 years from now, ASEAN will still very important for Indonesia, but Indonesia have to see the bigger context, and pursue the bigger goal.
