Indian army is due to conduct joint exercises with US, Russia, China and Thailand. The first one, with US Army, is commencing next month.

The one with Chinese is going to be held in Chengdu region.

Do you guys think that it's of any significance keeping in view the development works in aeronautical arena carried out between Pakistan and China specifically in Chengdu region. From any point of view like, intelligence point of view, to have a look at the terrain, places in that region, its industrial setup, do you think India is thinking for long term goals.

It's my observation. Comments will be appreciated either differing or favoring, but thought provoking.

Regards.

Indo-China military exercise is something that doesn't relate to the relationship between China and Pakistan in aeronautical fields in Chengdu.

OMG, please don't come out with some "Conspiracy theory", these people are crying we sold some small arms to "Vietnam" who they called a "Friend", and you think they will come close to seeing the industry, etc, if they were to conduct a exercise, it will be on a small stretch of land, which holds no "Intel" value.

One has to understand Chinese philosophy. Except for a very brief period very long time ago, Chinese as a nation have not been a colonizing country ( Tibet's case is debatable). Instead the China; like the sub continent, has been colonized time and again. Chinese have always demostrated that " Patience" is something they possess in abundance. China could have taken over Hong Kong any time they wanted after the 70's. But they waited and at the end they got a small piece of land with more than 1-trillion dollars already invested for free and legally. They are doing the same with Taiwan.

It is their current policy that they would like good relations with all their neighbours, India included. Even if it means joint army excercises, so what?? Is any one in any doubt that US- India strategic partnership is primarily aimed against China. George Fernandez as Defence Minister in BJP Govt, openly counted China as one of India's enemies.

It is about time that we ( Pakistanis) stop the school boy attitude " If you are my friend, you must not be friend of my enemy". Each country has her national interests as the paramount objective of their foreign policy. Let us not forget that we have seen "Hindi Chinee bai bhai" slogan in the 50's and less than 10 years later, we say India and China going to war. If China's interests are seriously threatened again, the history will repeat itself.

China wants at least another 10 years of peace to bring her armed foces and her economy upto the level required of a 'Super Power'. Once China achieves this status, a change in Chinese policy could occur.

Pakistan must learn to have good relations with all the countries in the world, and not just side up with a few on the right. Our relationships should be open to all the countries (regardless of what relations they have with India).

In this attempt, Pakistan does need to collaborate with the Russians which has the second most potential of being a super power.
