lmao, Myanmar builds its own frigates and Pak Navy is looking to buy them from Turkey despite having the Zulfiqar-class.

Approx 3,000 tons. Indigenous, yes, but using many systems from China (e.g. CODAD diesel propulsion set, C-802 missile on F12/14, stealthy AK630 clones, fire control and short range air/sea surveillance radars, ASW rocket launchers, Z-9 helicopter) Russia (e.g. Kh-35 Uran missile in F11), India (e.g. RAWL main surveillance radar, sonar, stealth cover 76mm cannon) and North Korea (e.g. sixtuple manpads launcher, AK230s, 14.5mm gatling HMGs).

Buying doesn't mean one cannot make them.

Most likely your shipbuilders are already loaded with orders and cannot handle more.

That's why ordering from abroad would make sense.

We do that too despite having a large shipping industry.

Indigenous Corvette of Myanmar Navy.
This 80 metre corvette was commissioned in Dec 2016.

Myanmar is building 4th frigate which will be 135 metre long. It will enter service in 2018-19.
