Hahha omg the obsession , this thread is in response to a another thread where indians were roasted with actual facts and figures and not a screen shot of page of a weird report.

Oh the irony . The desperation to prove that you are some how better than Pakistan. I am sorry India is host to worlds largest poor population irrespective of how you mislead world with distorted figures.

Loving your brown asses on fire :chilli::chilli::chilli:

the irony is you did not even respond to the facts presented in the ops post. And tjatbthread you refer to did not raost anyone, but the op there got exposed for his lack of rconomic knowledge.

the fact is on almost every repitable measure from gdp per capita to hdi, which re used as standards bybdevelopmental economists, india FAR surpasses pakostan, and the average indian is wealthier than the average Pakistani and has a FAR better standard of living. these claims are supported by actialnfacts, which pakisanis donnot use.

and it looks like the tomato economist has returned.

What are the parameters to judging standard of living? These reports look bogus to me when I actually see middle class Pakistanis and middle class Indians. The disparity seems to be huge in our favor. Even beggars don't go hungry in Pakistan, but it seems like Indian farmers are in dire straits.

Indian claims don't really make sense in this perspective.

It's called HDI. It's what the UN uses to measure development.

Pakistanis when they realize Pakistan ranks lower than India on almost every developmental category:

Lolll..

There is a difference between median and mean wealth. Median wealth is the amount that divides the wealth distribution into two equal groups: half the adults have wealth above the median, and the other half below. Mean wealth is the amount obtained by dividing the total aggregate wealth by the number of adults. In nations where wealth is highly concentrated in a small percentage of people, the mean can be much higher than the median (e.g. the United States and Sweden). To see this, click on the header of the mean wealth column and put it in descending order.

So, it's the median that matters the most to tell whether people are poor. In India, since the wealth is concentrated among few individuals, the mean is higher, while in Pakistan, the wealth is distributed rather more than India among more adults, median is higher..

1289 USD Median wealth of India tells us that there are a lot of poor people living there, while a few billionaires are enjoying lavish life.. Because of those individuals, the average (mean) is looking great..

While I agree that Pakistan is not that ahead in terms of median wealth, but still......

The most accurate measure of development, and in turn "wealth" is HDI. That is what the UN uses to measure development, and India is 20 spots ahead. Yes, the average Pakistani is really wealthier than the average Indian:rofl:

See, I have busted the myth of the OP.. In Median wealth, Pakistan is beating India fairly.. The OPs subject was wealth, not HDI..

Now laugh on "angoor khattay hain"..

@firestorm777

As per the 2014 Global Wealth Index report,
94% of the Indians had a net worth less than 10,000 USD making it poorer than Africa (at 90%)
Any improvement in those figures?
That was exactly my point..
