India's UNSC Dream

India ki demand hi flawed hai. UNSC exists because 191 nation states allow it to exist. They can play veto veto all they want, but if UNGA votes UNSC nullified, no veto would amount to anything.

If anything India should have not been greedy but pushed for abolishing the UNSC. Why should one nation have more of a vote than the other? Why should one have the right to cancel the other? If there are 191 nations, get the majority vote and move on.
Buddy, tumhari understanding he flawed hai is mamle main.

It's about the camel and the tent story - India does not want it solo - it wants a bunch of countries to be nominated along with it, spreading the overall power over a wider area.

Then India will fail in a blaze of glory, the whole world knows the UN is basically just a power tussle between the Big 5 and yet it has not been altered since its inception.

Good luck, the US would just pull funding of the UN and bye bye UN hello uncontrolled anarchy. Unless Shining India wants to take up the majority funding for UN and set them up in New Delhi. :azn:

UN funding anyways is way too misused, and other economies will anyway be growing so collective funding and control should not be a major hassle.

Funding can still earn benefit to the US as people will vote in favor of the US in exchange for funds. But that would mean the US has to do some sort of campaigning for votes. The Veto right now means no one can truly oppose the US, whether they give any funds or not.

Wait and watch - India's target is 2020. Let's see what happens.

No I'm not greedy and my principals are based on equality. I don't think I'm better than everyone else, which is a problem found in a few Indians.

oh you sure do need further testing.....

Offtopic - but don't think there will be a nuclear warfare anyday soon - so it's just a guy with a big gun to scare off people and nukes are anyways a white elephant.

In a democracy, the value of your vote is less than Tata family's? Obviously they have been accepted into the UNGA as a member, so has USA. In a voting platform, all votes are equal.

This concept is so flawed, that why does that nation have the same value as a big nation. Then why stop there? Go back to warlordism and beat the crap out of each other till you get to the top.

Champion of Democracy USA will be the very LAST country to support democratic voting in the UN, with one country = one vote.

Since the majority of countries in the UN support Palestine being recognized as a country. It is stopped every time by an American veto.

Theoretically no,But practically yes.
If not then why do political parties try to please TATA before elections but do not give a sh!t about me.
Money matters.

Easier said than done not all countries are willing to or even able to contribute so naturally those with more money would and should contribute more. The US therefore being the biggest contributor should not side with any proposals that short circuit our influence and will not.

Exactly, ironically it is not even the US but the Zionists who will pressure it to be struck down. The same Zionazis who are held up as the shining example of democracy in the middle east. :cheesy:

The US is able to fund because it can print the dollars and other countries have to buy them, the whole system is f@cked up and way too favorable for the US, change takes time and needs to be planned extensively.

Bhai that is the whole point of the veto. Why would the US give that up and perhaps more importantly who is in a position to make them?

^When PRC got it's set in UNSC in 70's it was worse than even Sudan,Somalia.

If we compare the five PM IN UN they all have something in common
1)Nuclear Power
2)ICBM
3)NUclear power Submarine

China achieve most of these aroung 1970 for E.g

Nuclear weapons
The People's Republic of China has developed and possessed weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and nuclear weapons. China's first nuclear test took place in 1964 and first hydrogen bomb test occurred in 1967

ICBM
The Dongfeng 5 or DF-5 is a 3 stage Chinese ICBM. It has a length 32.6 m and a diameter of 3.35 m. It weighs 183 tonnes and has an estimated range of 12,000–15,000 kilometers.[27]:71-72 The DF-5 had its first flight in 1971 and was in operational service 10 years later. One of the downsides of the missile was that it took between 30 and 60 minutes to fuel

I think any country who achieve these three steps will become permanant member
