To be honst based on the fact that China has been busy running around to cover Pakistan's back in UNSC, FATF listing in recent months, it gives me a feeling that China is being led around by the nose by Pakistan.

well at least we are not attacked by a a very very very small country. Sovereign also mean country must be able to defend herself.

ya u r right, muslim or more accurately- oil-producing Middle-eastern/Maghrebi states deserves to have a seat on the UNSC because they have the ability able to influence the global economy and in many cases- world politics


they must also be able to project power to a conflict zone without relying on others.


all 5 UNSC members have the capability to do this.

If India gets a permanent membership then we need a permanent membership for a Muslim country or OIC. a permanent membership for African Union aswell.

i only agree with a powerful middleeastern state such as Iran getting it, beacuse such a state have influence on other states.


Iran:

self-sustained military(not quality, just self-sustaining)
has influence on at least- the middle east and the Muslim world
Major oil producer to influence global oil prices and thus, the global economy


The UNSC is there to make decisions on others.

African states have nearly ZERO influence in such area, not to mention they cant even take care of themsleves- so what gives them the mandate to make judgement on others?
